How it Happened

1. When Victoria and Chris first met, Victoria asked him what’s his favorite summer activity, and Chris told her: a. Swimming in the ocean b. Building sandcastles on the beach c. He prefers to stay indoor with the AC on 2. On their first date, Chris got to the restaurant early so that he could: a. See Victoria walking down the street and either compose himself or run away b. Check emails and catch up with sport scores c. Get in line first so Victoria wouldn’t have to wait when she arrived 3. The first time Victoria’s parents came to Chris’s house, Chris: a. Prepared a table full of homemade dishes b. Cleaned the entire house and got fresh flowers c. Walked in half an hour late and was on a business call 4. When Chris asked for Victoria’s parents’ blessing, he: a. Prepared a PowerPoint presentation b. Made a photo album with a perfect speech c. Used Google Translate and handwrote a letter in Chinese Pinyin Hint: The answer to every question is “c”. Okay. Here is a more serious version: The first date at Rose's luxury back in May 2017 seemed simple enough, but after six hours together, Victoria and Chris realized there was something more. Over the next few weeks they started spending more time talking, via phone and in-person. By September, they knew. Victoria's parents were in town early October and they had arranged a time for the parents to meet. The night before Victoria's parents were heading back, Chris had crafted a message to ask for their blessing. Thankfully they were both extremely gracious and even kept the printout as a memorabilia. With that hurdle accomplished, Chris set out to figure out how to propose. He scheduled a dinner in the city and surprise engagement photos to take place after for the end of December. Being a terrible secret keeper, he decided to propose on the first day of December by laying out a rose-petal message of "Will you marry me?" After the initial surprise, she said yes and they were off to plan a wedding.
