Train
There's a convenient train that runs from the Denver International Airport to Union Station in downtown Denver. No need to worry about complicated schedules or maps! There is only one train line from the airport, it runs every 15 minutes, heads directly into downtown, and the last stop is Union Station - so you really can't go wrong. If you're staying in the city, we highly recommend taking it to/from the airport because it'll save you time and money! Downtown to the airport, or vice versa, is ~35 minutes via train or 45-75 minutes via car (depending on traffic).
Hotel
This hotel is the closest to the venue and we recommend it. They offer a house car service that will drive you anywhere within a 2 mile radius (the wedding venue is 1.1 miles). Nicole Shea's parents have stayed here a handful of times and have had lovely stays there. One aspect we love about it is the open roof-top restaurant and bar area on the 4th floor - a great place to gather with all our wedding guests! It's also within 1 block of the History Colorado Museum, Denver Art Museum, and plenty of restaurants. If you book with our room block link the rate is $199 per night. The room block is now full, but if there are still rooms left in the hotel they can give you the rate. Just text Nicole Shea or Chris and we'll help you make a reservation.
Hotel
This Marriott hotel is nearby and cheaper per night than the Art Hotel. At Element Denver Downtown East you can enjoy free breakfast daily. Many reviews mention that it's new and clean. As of 2/2/23 we're working on a room block - stay tuned.
Travel Note
Denver is a safe, walkable city - and you likely won't need a rental car to get around while you're here. Ubers and Lyfts are readily available for rideshares, as well as Bird/Lyft/Lime/Spin electric scooter rentals. If you do rent a car because you'd like to travel outside of Denver, know that street parking can get sparse. However, the mountains are only a 25 minute drive away so if you do rent a car we recommend heading up to Lookout Mountain for gorgeous, not too far, mountain views. There's a nice 1-2 mile hike/walk up there, too. No hiking boots needed but we recommend water as high elevation can affect people differently.
