Denver Botanic Gardens
This is where we did our engagement photos! It's Nicole Shea's favorite place in Denver - a must see even if you're only here for a short time.
Larimer Square
One of the most beautiful, iconic, pedestrian-friendly blocks in Denver. Tons of restaurants with outdoors seating - perfect for a date night! Some of our favorite places to eat in Denver are all located here: Osteria Marco (Italian), Bistro Vendôme (French), and Rioja (Mediterranean).
Denver Art Museum
We're members here! We recommend checking out the 3rd floor of the new building with Native American art.
Pints Pub
Super charming British-themed brewpub with a wide selection of cider and beer, as well as a world-class whiskey collection. No matter what you're drinking, try it with their crisps (fresh potato chips with vinegar)!
Art District on Santa Fe
Walk around on Santa Fe Drive, where the ceremony and reception is. We highly recommend popping into some art galleries with art from Colorado artists!
Swift's Breakfast House
Planning on being hungover while you're here? That's what I thought. Swift's is your quintessential "greasy spoon" diner food, with prices that seemingly haven't changed since the 90s. Conveniently located just one block away from SKYLIGHT.
Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art
Such a unique museum that's worth the small entry fee. Trust us, Vance Kirkland is the coolest artist you've never heard of.
River North Art District
The RiNo (River North) Art District is hipster central in Denver. Wander around the parallel Larimer/Walnut/Blake streets and you'll find countless murals, breweries, coffee shops, and places to eat. We like the Bierstadt Lagerhaus and Odell Brewhouse for beer, and Federales for tacos.
Plant Garage
This is Nicole Shea's favorite plant store in Denver. They've got plants and a resident dog!
The Escapist
The Escapist is right off of Santa Fe Drive and they've got some local beers, great escape rooms, and fun board games with an open-air atmosphere.
Denver Center for the Performing Arts
Want to check out a show while you're in town? Aladdin will be on the "big stage", but there are also other opportunities to see smaller theater performances too. Plus, the huge glass-enclosed atrium is a sight to see itself.
16th Street Mall
State Street is to Madison as 16th Street Mall is to Denver. A little too touristy, but lots of shops and restaurants, and plenty of people watching! We suggest eating at the Blue Agave Grill (Mexican) if you're in the area.
Colorado State Capitol
Check out the capitol building if you'd like to see marble detailing and a rotunda architecture.
