Great museum for history buffs! Planes, trains, and automobiles all stuffed into a beautiful, old building. This was one of our first dates. PLAN ACCORDINGLY! You can/will spend many hours here!
Waterloo State Recreation Area
Beautiful hiking area and the colors are amazing in October! Miles of great trails to help your furry friend blow off some steam. Just remember to keep Fido leashed, because horses and their riders share the trails with you!
The Parlour of Jackson
Fun eats with a vintage charm! The best ice cream. Hands down. BEWARE: The scoops of ice cream are softball-size!
The Lost Railway Museum
Short and sweet, but still fun to pass the time.

Meckley’s Flavor Fruit Farm
This is one of our favorite activities to do in the Fall! Great wine, great bakery, and overall a very "chill" environment.
Sandhill Crane Vineyards
We really like our wine! Sandhill Crane Winery is a great source for locally made wine.
Uncle John's Cider Mill
This is our favorite cidery! There is so much fun to be had! You can watch cider being made, get flights of said cider, eat some yummy pie with your cider, and then later take a nap due to a belly full of bakery and cider. There is also a "U-pick" pumpkin patch, sunflower patch, and apple orchard available on-site.
