We've locked in rates (since they were volatile when we chose our venue) with Modern Destination Weddings, which is a full service travel agency that can also help you find the best deals for your flights. To book travel, just click the button below. We emailed a spreadsheet with room rates, which vary depending on length of stay and # of people per room. As a rough idea of costs, the rates for 4 nights at double occupancy are below. Each rate is quoted *total per person for 4 nights* and includes all inclusive hotel stay and transportation to/from the airport. Flights are separate. Flight
Flights to Cancun are generally reasonably priced from all over the USA, and the resort is just a quick 20 minute drive from the airport. The team at Modern Destination Weddings can assist you with booking flights with your room reservation if you'd like! IMPORTANT: If you book flights outside of Modern Destination Weddings, please let them know your itinerary so they can book your airport transfers.
Travel Note
We have locked in rates for a limited number of rooms at the Royalton. To get the group rates please remember 1) To make sure you can have a reserved room, please at least make your deposit by Nov. 13th. If for some reason you cannot make a decision by Nov. 13th, please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate you. 2) For all you procrastinators out there like Nicki: We could only lock in limited numbers of rooms of each type. If a certain room type is popular, we can add more, but we cannot guarantee the current prices. Thus the Nov. 13th deadline... 3) Please complete your payments by Jan 15th. We have to cancel rooms after that date so we don't hit major penalties against our block.
Travel Note
Shared shuttles to/from the airport are included in the group rate bookings. If you have decided to book your flights outside of Modern Destination Weddings, please let them know your flight itinerary so they can book your shuttle transfers for you.
Travel Note
Just a reminder, you will need a valid passport for travel to Mexico. Typical passport processing times are 6-8 weeks, so plan ahead!
Travel Note
The Mexican government assesses a 170-peso (approximately $18 U.S.) tourist entry fee for each visitor entering Mexico for pleasure or on business. The fee must be paid in order to have your tourist card validated if you plan to remain anywhere in Mexico for more than 72 hours, or stay less than 72 hours and travel beyond the 26-kilometer (16-mile) border zone. A government-issued tourist card (actually a form) is available upon presentation of proof of citizenship from Mexican government tourism offices, Mexican consulates in the United States and Canada, or immigration offices at official points of entry. If you’re arriving by air, the tourist card is distributed on the flight.
Travel Note
Even though it is not required, resort staff, tour guides, drivers, etc. all gladly accept tips. US dollars are generally preferred, so no need to get Mexican Pesos. We generally plan to bring about $25 per day worth of fives and singles with us when we stay at all inclusive resorts for tips. The hotels are also happy to break larger bills into 5's and 1's for tipping there.
Travel Note
Our Modern Destination Weddings Team will provide travel insurance quotes as an optional add on for each booking. Why would I get travel insurance? In the event you had to cancel your trip, needed medical attention in Mexico, or (if booking flights with Modern Destination Weddings) lost your luggage, travel insurance would help or completely cover those costs. Is it required? No. But if you are at all worried, it may give you some peace of mind.
