So Covid-19 sucks. Like, really sucks. But we love you all and we still want to have a kick a$$ party with you all! Random Dominican Republic deaths didn't stop us. Neither will this virus. At the end of the day, at least we'll have some good stories when we celebrate our 25th anniversary. New details will be all posted here.
Welcome to our wedding website, we can’t wait to celebrate with you. We’ve created this website as a way to keep you in the loop with all the details and for Nicki to remember what’s going on. You might even find an embarrassing photo or 2 of us. Definitely check out the travel page. That’s the OG of pages on this site. And don’t forget to RSVP! Finally – Thank you for your ongoing love and support. Although we joke around a lot on this site, we’re seriously glad you’re all in our lives.
We met on Nicki's birthday. Okay, so maybe we technically met before Nicki's birthday... Chris was friends in high school with some of Nicki's new friends when she moved to Chicago. We bounced in and out of the same circles for a little while, so like you read in classic romance novels, we became Facebook friends and Nicki invited him and everyone else she knew in Chicago to her birthday party. Well, Chris showed up late, her brother told him to buy her a drink, and after a few attempts at taking over the juke box with 90s hip hop (Salt n' Pepa foreva) and a bad attempt by Nicki to sing Blues Traveler, the rest is history.
It was Friday and Nicki was just getting home from work and as she pulled into the driveway there was Gibson and Chris. She thought that was weird and opened the car door and Gibson ran over. Then she saw the ring box hanging from Gibson’s collar. Two things crossed Nicki’s mind: 1. Holy crap, I’m getting my ring! 2. Crap, I have to pee really really bad. So after a brief pause while Nicki relieved her bladder, Gibson gave mommy her ring in the back yard that Chris had set up with champagne and flowers.
