Travel Note
There is an airport in Gainesville. We have not used it before. Flights might be harder to find directly to Gainesville and/or might be more expensive than the airports in the below cities. There are airports in Orlando and Tampa that we've used to get in and out of Florida. They are about 2-2.5 hours away from Gainesville, depending on the airport and traffic. There is an airport in Jacksonville, which is about 1.5-2 hours away from Gainesville, depending on traffic. We would recommend looking at Orlando, Tampa, & Jacksonville for cheaper flights, but the drive will be farther.
