Our Love Story - 2018 It’s not everyday that you like someone’s picture on Instagram and say, I’m gonna marry that girl one day. I had made a decision to move to Idaho with my best friend. Originally, the moving date was set for October 2019. A couple extra likes on a Instagram from a beautiful girl changed everything. It was very silly off the start just simple messages back and forth to night long conversation full of memes. Then slowly advanced to headset talks over games of Fortnite. Soon it was nightly FaceTiming for hours until one of us fell asleep. Then before I knew it, on December 31, 2018 I was sitting at the San Diego airport with butterflies in my stomach waiting for her to come down the escalator . The week that we first met was like a vacation. No worries just me and her enjoying each other’s company. Time went by way too fast and feelings even faster and before we knew it my truck was packed and I left what I had called home for 27 years behind. We started our lives together in 2019. -Chris Fast forward to Spring in Idaho. We had both came back from separate vacations where I went to California and Lisette went to Texas. What Lisette didn't know was in California I had made a big decision to wife her up.
The Proposal- 2019 Chris had changed our plans the night before to have a date night. We had previously planned something a few weeks later but I think he was getting anxious. At the time, he was living in Kuna so I went over there to meet him. He had a beautiful bouquet of roses for me and of course a Little Mermaid Balloon and card. The card had a sweet note that hinted what was to come. However, I had refused to read it because I did not want to get emotional before our date. We ended up going to the Boise Zoo and hanging out there for a while. Then after what seemed like forever, we found the paddleboat place that we had originally planned and had a fun time there. That is where Chris had originally planned to propose but the boats were more like airboats. The bottoms had spaces and holes and he really did not want to lose that ring. However, earlier when we were at the zoo, he saw a spot at a park that he really liked. When we got done with the zoo and paddleboats Chris insisted we go back to the park but I was really hungry and wanting to go eat. (that has not changed) He convinced me to at least get a “picture” under these trees. He set the camera on a timer…or so I thought and we got to our spot. He kept fidgeting and talking and I was like “Yo, it’s going to snap a shot stop moving!” Finally, I realized something was happening and had a sense of what was going on. When he finally reached into his pocket, I felt my stomach flutter and quickly cease when he pulled out a Ring Pop bag. I was like are you kidding? And he was he; he took the real ring out of the bag and asked me to be his wife. And bless his heart, he took me to Yard House afterwards to tame my hangry self. YUM! The Rest is History We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you soon
