FAQs

Here, you’ll find answers to questions about attire, who is invited, parking details, transportation from the hotel to the church and venue, the RSVP deadline, and more. If you have any additional questions that aren’t covered, please feel free to contact Ligia or Terry.
Question

RSVP Deadline

Answer

Please RSVP by April 12th so we can prepare for your presence on our special day. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Children?

Answer

While we adore your children, our wedding will be mostly adults-only. If your child is included in the RSVP section, we would love to have them celebrate with us!

Question

Plus One?

Answer

We would love to celebrate with all our guests and their loved ones. If your invitation is addressed to you and a guest, or if you are engaged, married, or have been in a relationship for 6+ months, you are welcome to bring a plus one. (If you believe your RSVP has an error and your guest was omitted, please let us know.)

Question

What to Wear?

Answer

Our wedding will be formal-ish—elegant but fun! (Beach formal attire - it is Memorial Day weekend, after all). For men, this means a suit (tie optional). For women, a floor-length gown, a chic cocktail dress, or an elegant pantsuit is perfect.

Question

Phone Free Ceremony

Answer

To fully embrace the moment and enjoy our special day together, we kindly request that all guests keep their phones stored away during the ceremony. You’re welcome to take pictures before the ceremony begins and after it concludes. Phones are also welcome at the reception, and we encourage you to share your memories using our hashtag #HillYesWeDo.

Question

Parking & Accessibility

Answer

At the Church: Street parking is available at a cost. Zone numbers can be found on the meter closest to you. Visit the web address below to park. https://park.parkmobile.io/ct/new-haven/new-haven-ct-parking At the Carousel: Please follow the parking attendant's instructions for parking at Lighthouse Point Park. Guests are not charged fees to enter the park. As you enter the Park, continue straight after the ticket booth stop, following the green signs to “Carousel parking.” Go right into the directed lot (surrounded by colored concrete blocks). Drive to the far end of the directed lot (the Lighthouse can be seen in the distance to your left), park your vehicle, and walk to the "RED GATE" on the access road. You can either take the golf cart shuttle at the gate or walk straight down the road to the Carousel building. Handicapped guests and guests with special needs can be dropped off directly in front of the Carousel House. Extreme caution is to be used when accessing this interior access road. The Carousel House is the large white building near the lighthouse.

Question

Directions to Lighthouse Point Park

Answer

From I-95 North Take Woodward Ave. exit, Exit 50. At the third traffic light, go right onto Townsend Avenue. Follow Townsend until you reach Lighthouse Road. Turn right onto Lighthouse Rd. The entrance to Lighthouse Park is at the end of the street, on the left.
