The Vittoriale degli italiani is a hillside estate in the town of Gardone Riviera overlooking the Garda lake in province of Brescia, Lombardy. We would highly recommend you take a stroll here during your stay in Gardone, it is filled with history and beauty everywhere you look. You will also find lots of wonderful little trattoria to stop and have a pizza or pasta lunch!
Heller Botanical Gardens
Heller Garden is on Gardone hillside and absolutely worth the visit. The gardens are spectacularly beautiful. Heller Garden is named after André Heller, born in Vienna in 1947. The internationally renowned multimedia artist, writer, and musician bought the park known as Hruska Botanical Gardens in 1989. Arturo Hruska was a famous doctor (as well as a naturalist and botanist) originally from the Czech Republic; he fell in love with Lake Garda in the early 1900s, and purchased a 15,000-square-meter property on the slopes of Mount Lavino, in Gardone Riviera. Over time, Hruska transformed the garden into the wonderful park that is now home to 3,000 different botanical species, as well as a range of works of contemporary art – including pieces by Susanne Schmögner, Rudolph Hirt, Erwin Novak, and Keith Haring.

For those looking to completely relax and unwind in the days leading up to the wedding, or following, we could not recommend LeFay Resort & Spa more highly. They have been coined one of the best spas in the world and when you visit you will see why. The views alone will make your heart skip a beat!

Wonderful little restaurant right on the lake where you can go for lunch or dinner. A good option for dinner on the Friday before the Welcome reception (where drinks and dessert will be served!)

This is basically Italian Disney World and SO much fun. Best for visitors who have some free time in the days leading up to the wedding weekend, or afterwards.
Metropolitan City of Venice
About a 2 hour drive from Gardone, go and visit one of the world's most romantic cities! Easy to do for a day trip!

Go and visit the home of Parma ham and Parmesan cheese!
