Chris and Laura first met in the summer of 2014 when Chris’s good friend Ash invited him to a dinner in the East Village of Manhattan with a group of fun “Brits and Irishmen” he had met in Fire Island a month earlier. Chris and Laura happened to sit next to each other that night, completely naive to the future romance that would blossom. They only saw each other once more that year, in the Hamptons, over 4th of July weekend (at, of course, another Ash-produced event). Fast forward more than a year and Chris, unable to forget the Irish lass he sat next to at dinner that one night, sent Laura a message. A “casual” suggestion they go for a 'Hamptons reunion' drink turned into a late December date.. 14 months later they moved in together. 19 months later their beloved son Walter (the labrador retriever) arrived. And 3 years later (almost to the day of their 1st date!), Chris popped the question at home, with both their families waiting outside to surprise her. Over the years Chris has made short films of their life together (links to each below!), so the proposal included a beautiful video he made highlighting some of their happiest moments together. Her mum and stepdad also had their wedding reception at Torre di San Marco. Laura has never imagined anywhere other than Lake Garda as the place she would get married. Luckily, with Chris being 50% Italian on the Petroni side, and Italy being one of his favorite places on earth, it wasn't difficult to convince him to have an Italian wedding!
