An amazing winery for wine tasting! We have done 1 hour of wine tasting here twice, and really enjoyed it both times! Make sure to call for a reservation ahead of time (a day in advance has been fine for us), and we would recommend using Uber or Lyft because they are very generous with the wine :) Located 10 minutes south of the venue!
Meow Wolf is a very fun, unique, and interactive art exhibit that is great for adults and children! They have locations in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, and most recently Denver. Tickets need to be purchased ahead of time on their website. Located 15 minutes northwest of the venue!
The Denver Botanic Gardens are beautiful and have a large variety of gardens! It includes an English rose garden, a Japanese garden, desert flora, a lilac garden and so much more. It also borders Cheeseman Park- yet another great Denver Park! It is located about 15 minutes north of the venue.
The BookBar is one of our favorite places to hang out in Denver! It has adults' and children's books, the best hot chocolate in town, and some pretty solid sangrias as well. Located about 20 minutes northwest of the venue on Tennyson Street, a great area to walk around!
Little Man is one of the most famous ice cream shops in Denver, probably because of its iconic milk jug shape! See the FAQ page for more ice cream hot spots in Denver that we love. Little Man is located in the "Lo Hi" neighborhood of Denver and is near where Chris works! It is about 20 minutes north of the venue.
16th Street Mall is in the heart of downtown Denver! 16th Street is pedestrian-only, except for the free bus that travels up and down the street. On and near 16th Street, there are lots of restaurants and bars. On one end, you can see beautiful Union Station, and on the other end you can visit the Colorado State Capitol building and climb to the 13 step to be exactly 1 mile above sea level! 16th Street is about 20 minutes north of the venue. If you're driving, we recommend parking underground in the Denver Pavillions parking garage!
Red Rocks is an iconic concert venue! It's a great place to see a concert (book well in advance), and there are also many nearby hiking paths ranging from easy to advanced! Red Rocks is located about 30 minutes west of the venue.
Rocky Mountain National Park is far (1 hour and 46 minutes from the venue), but is stunning! There are lots of hiking paths, and the town of Estes Park outside of RMNP also makes the trip well worth it! *Please note: Since summer of 2020 a day permit has been needed to enter the park. Permits need to be bought ahead of time on the National Park website listed above.
