FAQs

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

The wedding will be an adult-only celebration with limited exceptions. We want you to be able to let loose and appreciate your understanding! Please reach out to us if you have any questions.

Question

Will I have to drive to the venue?

Answer

Short answer is yes - you'll likely have to drive and there is parking on site. We will have a shuttle for Saturday to/from Kebler Corner and Paonia and will add more information when we have it.

Question

If I camp are there places to change for the wedding?

Answer

Yes! There is a bathroom on site with a changing room at Stone River Glen where you can change. There may or may not be showers available - we will update this closer to the wedding. There is dispersed camping nearby, tent sites available at Kebler Corner, other campgrounds nearby, and a few tents may be allowed to stay on site at Stone River Glen. Contact us if you are thinking about camping!

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

End of August/September is one of the most beautiful times in Colorado. It will get hot during the day but cools down once the sun goes behind the mountains and there are always chances of afternoon thunderstorms in Colorado. Packing layers is key! Temperatures are usually high 70s-mid 80s during the day and can drop down into the 50s at night.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

We recommend bringing tennis shoes, water bottle, and a rain coat if you plan on doing any hiking. Bring a bathing suit to enjoy the hot springs in Glenwood (more to come under things to do). Sunglasses and sunscreen are a must at the higher altitude. Sweaters/light jackets for the cooler mornings and evenings.

Question

What should I remember about the higher altitude?

Answer

Stone River Glen is lower than many of the mountain towns but higher elevation than Denver. If you're coming from sea level, please remember to drink lots of water and avoid over indulging on alcohol (it really does hit you harder). Higher elevation also means we are closer to the sun and you will burn faster - make sure to wear sunscreen!

Question

What things are there to do in the area?

Answer

We're working on a list of recommendations and will publish a separate page for that soon!
