Things To Do

There is a lot to see and do in Tuscany, and you may not know where to go. We have a couple suggestions! We encourage you to take the more scenic route on your vacation! (It's worth the drive!)
Terme di Saturnia

Terme di Saturnia

Terme di Saturnia, Tuscany, Italy

A lovely and free hot springs just 8 minutes down the road!

Pitigliano

Pitigliano

Pitigliano, Tuscany, Italy

One of Italy’s oldest and most fascinating villages, founded around 750 BC. Here you can wander through narrow streets filled with artisan shops, small restaurants and local specialties – and explore the many caves that hide beneath the town. Roughly 25 minutes drive from the venue!

Porto Santo Stefano

Porto Santo Stefano

Porto Santo Stefano, Tuscany, Italy

A hidden gem of the Tuscan Riviera with lovely beaches and fresh seafood. Just an hour from the venue.

Montalcino

Montalcino

Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy

Montalcino is a medieval hilltop town in Tuscany, Italy, famous for its high-quality Brunello di Montalcino wine. The town is known for its historic architecture, including a 14th-century fortress, and is situated in the scenic Val d'Orcia, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site! Only about an hour down the road toward Siena.

Siena

Siena

Siena, Tuscany, Italy

One of our favorite cities we visited during our road trip through Tuscany! We would suggest a night or two here to explore all Siena and the surrounding villages have to offer.

San Gimignano

San Gimignano

San Gimignano, Tuscany 53037, Italy

We went here as a day trip from Siena and absolutely loved the cobblestone streets and little shops underneath the medieval towers!

Rome

Rome

Rome, Lazio, Italy

A must see of course! We recommend spending 2-3 days here, it's plenty of time to see all the sights and one of the 7 wonders of the modern world. It is a very walkable city if you choose to stay downtown, so you most likely wont need a rental car here.

Florence

Florence

Florence, Tuscany, Italy

Somewhere we have not been yet, but we are planning to spend a few days there after the wedding. Florence is the largest city in Tuscany, and the birthplace of the Renaissance. While it's jam packed with history, its also close to the coast and small charming fishing villages like Riomaggiore. Florence provides a great home base for a few days if you choose to see the northern part of Tuscany.

Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore, Liguria 19017, Italy

A small town along the coast just northwest of Florence. Known for its colorful, cliffside houses and its position as one of the five villages that make up the Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera.
