Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Emily McCaffrey and Chris Wright

The Podski Food Cart Lot

536 Northwest Arizona Avenue, Bend, OR 97703

Check out Toasty, a vegan food cart serving Mexican-style fare, and get the Nacho Crunchwrap!

Boneyard Pub

1955 Northeast Division Street, Bend, OR 97701

This is our favorite local brewery, and our weekly go-to during the pandemic winters because of the outdoor, heated patio!

Cascade Lakes Brewpub

1441 Southwest Chandler Avenue, Bend, OR 97702

One of our favorite dinner spots with great beer!

Deschutes Brewery Tasting Room

901 Southwest Simpson Avenue, Bend, OR 97702

Bend is famous for Deschutes beer - sign up to take a tour or just taste some small batch brews!

Bend Brewery Scene

The brewpub is a quintessential Bend experience, and there are SO many to choose from. In addition to the ones listed above, we recommend Crux Fermentation Project, Bend Brewing, Silvermoon Brewing, Worthy Brewing, Sunriver Brewing and (though they're the sell-outs), 10 Barrel Brewing. If you're heading to Redmond, check out Wild Ride Brewing.

Deschutes River Trail

Deschutes River Trail, Bend, OR 97702

The Deschutes River Trail can be followed through downtown Bend and into the Deschutes National Forest, and all the way to Sunriver if you're looking for a 20 mile jaunt. A couple of places to park and start a walk/run (or swim!): Riverbend Park for a Mill District loop (mostly paved, but a nice trail if you head south - plus Chris's favorite swimrun loop!); Drake Park for a downtown loop; Meadow Day Use Area for a hiking trail through the pine forest with lava views.

Tumalo Mountain Trail

Dutchman Flat Sno-Park, Bend, OR 97703

Short, steep, amazing hike to an incredible view of the Central Cascades. One of our favorites for a trail run or backcountry ski. This hike is on the Cascade Lakes Highway, which runs for 60+ miles through the Cascades and has access to tons of great day and overnight hikes.

Deschutes River Float

In hot weather, the Deschutes River is a popular floating spot - inner tube, kayak, and stand up paddleboards (SUP) are most popular. There's several places in town to rent gear, and access is best from Drake Park or Riverbend Park. Or, if you're looking for a more remote spot in the National Forest we recommend Big Eddy trailhead (just don't float past the boat ramp to the north!)

Smith Rock State Park

Terrebonne, OR 97760

Incredible rock formation near Terrebonne. Great hiking and running trails, and well known for great rock climbing.

Mountain Biking

Bend has tons of great mountain biking trails. Rentals are available everywhere, including at the Loge hotel. Popular trails are at Mt Bachelor, Phil's, and Maston.
