This largest shopping option is Destiny USA (formerly Carousel Mall). This newly renovated and expanding mall includes an outlet wing, activities such as bowling and WonderWorks, breweries such as Gordon Birsch and World of Beer, and restaurants like Cantina Laredo, PF Chang's, Texas de Brazil, and Cheesecake Factory.
Syracuse and surrounding areas have a lot of restaurant options! Some of Chris and Al's favorites are Dinosaur BBQ, Spaghetti Warehouse, Alto Cinco, Funk N Waffles, and Strong Hearts Cafe. Because of the many refugees from around the world that settle in Syracuse, you can find restaurants from almost any culture. And for coffee, you must go to Recess Cafe!
There is so much beauty all around New York State - plenty of opportunities for hiking, fishing, biking, golf! Al's favorite hiking spots are Beaver Lake (where Chris has also been) and Chittenango Falls. Ithaca's gorges and waterfalls are also a must-see! The Finger Lakes have a lot of wineries, just over an hour from Syracuse. Syracuse itself has a lot of different breweries - Empire Brewing Company is a favorite. You should also check out Beak N Skiff- apple orchards with its own distillery for hard ciders and liquors!
