Where do I start with booking flights and hotels?

Check the "Flight and Hotel Info" page of this site. The airport is Guadalajara airport, Jalisco (GDL-Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla Intl.). Few hotel options you can consider: 1. By the church where the ceremony will take place (Hotel La Cascada) 2. By the airport (Hangar Inn or Hilton inside the airport) 3. Any other hotel close to the venue (church or reception) is best. Question

Do I need a rental car or should I just Uber?

Answer

A rental car would be recommended for freedom of commuting, however we will provide group shuttle services for driving from the church ceremony to the reception. I will also stick around Guadalajara a week after the wedding so I can drive people around if I can. Ubers are okay however not always available given El Salto is a small town with little commute opportunity, and taxis are not recommended.
