The Catholic faith has always been very important to Chris and Paulina. It is the foundation of their lives, the source of their peace, and the thing that helps them feel most connected with God. Throughout their relationship, they have tried to include God through scripture, prayer, and consecrations to the Virgin Mary and St. Joseph. When it came time for their engagement, it felt right to include Him in the proposal! All Saints Catholic Church has a beautiful courtyard with multiple shrines to the saints. They knew that they wanted to make their proposal at the Marian shrine, in front of Mother Mary. So Chris, his best friends, his sister, and Paulina’s sisters decorated the shrine with candles and winter themed decorations. When it was time to propose, Chris escorted Paulina to the courtyard. From there, she and Chris walked hand in hand past the St. Joseph statue, past the Fellowship hall, all the way to the Marian shrine. As they were walking there, they asked the intercession of St. Joseph and of Mother Mary. When they got to the Marian shrine, Chris professed his love for Paulina and asked if she would spend the rest of her life with him in marriage. Praise the Lord, she said YES!!!
