After talking on a dating app for a while, we decided that it was time to meet and see if the chemistry was as amazing in person. We met up at a local arcade bar on a snowy Sunday in February and bonded over pinball, Pacman and a terrible Michael Jackson video game. The conversation was flowing so we decided to walk down the street to get some Thai food and keep the night rolling. By the time we were done with dinner, we walked over to our cars and Chris offered to help sweep the snow off of my car, but he quickly learned that I was much faster at it after my time in Tahoe. On our ways home, both in our separate cars, we both immediately called our siblings to tell them what an amazing time we had and that this person might be the one!
Chris had this day planned for many months, and of course it was on a day when I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Chris had planned an epic scavenger hunt throughout the city going through all of our firsts, the bar where our first date was, when he first met my friends and got interrogated and the place where we first said I love you. We started it after our weekly trip to the farmers market, and all I wanted to do was go home and clean so I was a big stinker the entire time he drug me around town on this scavenger hunt, but it probably helped me not realize what was going on. Once we got to the park where we first said I love you and I saw that there was a little table set up with flowers and champagne, it all clicked and I turned around and started crying while saying "you're not!" I don't even really remember what he said but I do remember saying yes!
