You can say it all began when we each swiped right at the end of 2020. We had both not socialized with another human being in person for months. One thing led to another, and we were face-to-face on a zoom call with wine in hand; romantic, right? Although we had an instant connection, vaccinations were not yet available, so our fates did not align. Six months and four Pfizer shots later, we found each other again. Chris reached out to Keith and didn't realize it was him. Keith doesn't hold it against him; he did change his profile photo. Within a few days, we planned our first date in Hollywood. Over the next few months leading to the next three years, we truly were tourists in our own city, exploring Los Angeles and creating wonderful memories with each other, and sometimes with our friends & family. We hiked amazing trails, enjoyed golden hour at dozens of rooftop restaurants, attended red carpet events, and explored iconic venues and landmarks including the Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory, Angel's Flight, El Capitan Theater, and the Broad Museum. We ventured to Santa Barbara, Malibu, Joshua Tree, San Diego, Las Vegas, and last but not least, our favorite weekend getaway, Palm Springs. We have lived together with our little buddy, Hugo, for four years. We have cultivated a chosen family with wonderful friends nearby, and host regular parties for Summer, Halloween, Christmas, and New Year's Eve. We are always discovering new things to see and do with our friends and family. But honestly - the casual, low pressure, drop-in movie, craft, and board game nights (you know who you are) are our favorite ways to spend time with the people we love. Our day-to-day is filled with gratitude and appreciation for everything and everyone we are blessed to have in our lives. We find something we love and cherish in each other everyday.
