After each separately returning to Australia from living overseas, Chris and Judy both found the Sydney dating scene challenging. So each turned to the precarious world of online dating. Using the dating app "Coffee Meets Bagel", Chris and Judy matched with each other, chatted online for a while, and then agreed to meet up for a Friday afternoon coffee. After each realised that the other person was "normal" (the first, and most challenging, hurdle of online dating), they spent hours talking and then went for a walk around Darling Harbour. They instantly hit it off, and several more dates and outings later, they started on the journey of falling in love.
In June 2018, Chris and Judy decided to move in together. Chris lived in Manly at the time and Judy lived in Zetland. After a quick discussion about whether the beautiful beaches of Manly or the industrial concrete suburb of Zetland was the best option, they settled on Manly. Chris and Judy found a new place to call their home, and then on 07-Jul-2018, Chris, Judy and their baby boy sausage dog, Dashiell, moved in together.
On the morning of Saturday 30-Mar-2019, Chris (with the help of Dashiell) surprised Judy with a proposal. Chris then had a romantic weekend planned, involving a couples day spa treatment, a night in the city, and a dinner at Quay Restaurant at Circular Quay. Thankfully Judy said "yes" to the proposal, and the couple had an amazing weekend together
