For the past 40 years, Jennifer's family has been patients at Dr. Ravenel's dental office. As fate would have it, this just happened to be the dental practice that Chris moved from Pittsburgh, PA in 2008 to purchase. This is where our story begins... After meeting Chris, Jennifer's cousin Jessica (who is also a patient) thought they would be a perfect match. She told Jennifer she should pursue it. However, there was no way Jennifer was going to ask her NEW dentist on a date! But Jessica just knew this would be a perfect match. So at her next cleaning Jessica and her hygienist formed the perfect matchmaker team collecting Jennifer's information and sliding it to Dr. Newman with the instructions that Jennifer would be interested in going to dinner. Finding this out after the fact, Jennifer was so embarrassed! However, Chris threw caution to the wind and sent Jennifer a message. Excitedly, Jennifer agreed, and they went to Cellar on Greene for their first date. This was the start of a beautiful relationship!

First of all, let's just say it's tough to plan a surprise for Jennifer! But, on August 18th things seemed to fall into place. On this day the air conditioning decided to quit working in our home. The heat index outside was 105, and the temperature inside was 84 and climbing. So as soon as Chris came home, Jennifer suggested eating out for dinner... Jennifer: "I couldn't take the heat anymore! Chris loves Mr. Friendly's so that was my suggestion to get out of the heat." Chris: "Little did she know dinner was the plan all along! But I decided to have her ring custom made out of town and needed to pick up a "stand in ring" since there was a hold up finishing her ring. I had to drive to Charlotte and back and was just praying the whole time she didn't get too hot and drive to my office where she thought I was. I couldn't believe she suggested Mr. Friendly's because it was right next to the place we were going!" So, we headed to Mr. Friendly's and then drove right past the door and parked in front of Cellar on Greene, the place we had our first date seven years ago. We got out of the car (Jennifer was still thinking they were walking back to Mr. Friendlys) and Chris started his incredibly sweet speech and then got on one knee and ask Jennifer to marry him, and of course, she said YES! They went into Cellar on Greene for dinner and reminisced about their first date, their lives together, and what the future holds!
