Davis and Adele met on the dating app Hinge. After a year long break of inner work, and dealing with the isolation of the pandemic, Adele finally decided she was ready to date again. She liked Davis's profile first because she thought he was cute and had kind eyes. He picked her up and took her to a Colombian restaurant in Koreatown for their first date where beginning to end Davis kept her laughing. Adele did warn him initially that she had intentions to continue dating so that she can ensure she is going slow and making the right decisions about her future partner. As it turns out, Adele never made it to another date. Davis was her first and only date, no other options were necessary. Davis was so illuminated by Adele, never before had he seen from a person such a delightful, joyous expression and kindness upon meeting. He was taken aback by her beautiful heart through her conversation, smile, and amusement in her contagious laughter. Davis always trusted that when he found the right person he would know and when he met Adele he knew.

Davis and Adele were headed up to Big Bear to join their friends on a Filipino Martial Arts training weekend. They were driving up the mountain with their cat, Tokki sitting on the dashboard when Adele brought up a discussion of her main concerns about the when and ifs...(of you know what). She wondered if her closest friends would be there and if she will know to be able to look her best. The zigzag of the road and the stress of the topic may have been the reason our little 5 month old Tokki puked (poor kitty! ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ). What Adele didn't know was that this trip was the big event Davis had planned to pop the question. On the day that was planned for a boat ride with all of their friends, and by chance right before they left the cabin, they received a phone call from the game show "Let's Make a Deal!" -with Wayne Brady. They wanted to book Adele and Davis as contestants as a couple for the big season premiere! With this great news, Davis had told Adele that we had to prepare for another "audition" and that the boat would be a perfect setting for it. So of course she had to be dressed and makeup ready. It was already an awesome party on the boat ride with great friends and even a renowned Kali Master from the Philippines. Then all of a sudden Davis asked to stop the boat ride and nobody knew what was going on. That was the moment he asked Adele to come up to the far end of the boat, knelt down on one knee and proposed to her in front of everyone on Big Bear Lake. He shared his heart and felt so much gratitude that he couldn't keep his overflowing emotions from spilling over through his eyes and breaking up some of his words. Everyone erupted in joy and champagne! Adele FaceTimed her Mom in Florida immediately to share in the good news and celebration. Their love is so well matched as a couple, it always seems to result in something magical. That's why their last names put together spells...Cho-Zin!
