Yes! Our dress code is Formal. Western Formal optional, but encouraged! Black-tie welcome. We’d love for everyone to dress up for an elegant evening at Madera Estates—formal attire with a polished Western touch. Great options include: • Formal Gowns or elegant long dresses • Dark suits with a tie, or a tuxedo if you’d like to go extra formal Western flair (optional but encouraged!): boots with a suit or formal dress, turquoise or silver jewelry, elegant western accessories, or a felt hat. Footwear tip: We’ll be celebrating both indoors and out, so choose shoes you can comfortably walk and dance in (boots, block heels, wedges, or dress shoes). There is a gap between the ceremony and cocktail hour, so you can always change shoes in between if you wish. Be ready to dance the night away! We kindly ask you to avoid jeans, casual tees, and sneakers.
There is about a two hour gap between our 1pm ceremony (should end about 2pm) and the start of cocktail hour at 4pm. During this time we recommend guests check into their hotels if they haven't already done so. We also recommend exploring the Woodlands Waterway area (where The Westin hotel is located). There are plenty of shops for shopping, restaurants if you need a quick bite between, and bars if you want to enjoy a drink with friends.
Ceremony will be indoors at Sacred Heart Church. Cocktail hour will be at Madera Estates, outdoors but plenty of shaded areas and large fans. Reception will be indoors at Madera Estates
Lite bites and an open bar (with a few surprise servers) will be served during cocktail hour (4pm-5pm at Madera Estates).
A full dinner and open bar will be served at the reception.
We are currently looking at transportation options from The Westin to cocktail hour and from the reception back to The Westin. More information to come.
