Our journey began on Hinge in April of 2024, but it felt like God had been guiding us toward each other long before that. Looking back, we somehow always just missed each other. We both attended Texas A&M University during overlapping years. Chloé and her friends often visited Shiner Park, the bar where Conner worked. During Chloe’s senior year, Conner lived right next door to the school where she was student teaching. The following year, Chloé moved to Bryan, Texas, for her first teaching job, while Conner stayed in that same house. In May 2021, Conner left Bryan to move to Houston, and coincidentally, Chloé also left Bryan to head to El Campo, Texas. During this time, both of us joined committees for Rodeo Houston! After about a year in El Campo, Chloé felt it was time for a change and wanted to try a big city for the first time. She packed her bags and moved to Houston, where she finally crossed paths with Conner! They often joke and say Chloé moved to Houston just to meet Conner!

Chloe's first impression of Conner was a whirlwind of emotions. When she first saw him, she felt a mix of nerves and excitement. Having that many “tickle bugs” (aka butterflies) while still feeling a sense of calm was a new feeling for her. Conner was captivated by Chloe’s big heart, instantly recognizing the warmth she brought into the room.

Conner confidently says he fell in love with Chloé on their third date, standing on a street corner in downtown Houston after a concert. Chloé also vividly remembers that moment and says that she can't describe the feeling other than dream like.

Chloé and Conner share a love for dancing, Rodeo Houston, going to Mass, and Texas A&M Football. Their first trip together was just a little over a month into dating, a family getaway that Conner invited Chloé on before they were even officially a couple. Just a few additional unforgettable adventures include trips to Mexico, College Station, Chicago, Oregon, New Orleans, and Port Aransas with Chloe's family.

Conner proposed at the Museum of Natural Science in July 2025. Chloé was excited that all of her college friends were in town for a friend's house warming party, and was nervous for her and Conner’s late invite to his company fundraiser. Little did Chloé know, this was all part of Conner’s plan! Conner planned the most thoughtful proposal. He had an amethyst placed in the gem vault that he proposed in front of. Conner had even planned a party with friends and family at The Republic Boot Company to celebrate. It was a night they will never forget!

Chloé admires Conner's incredible love for family. He works tirelessly to better their lives together with future family always in mind. He makes her feel safe, loved, and gives her "tickle bugs" while providing a sense of calmness. Conner admires Chloe’s dedication to service, her nurturing spirit towards him and her tiny humans (students), and her dedication to create a peaceful life for their future family.

Our dream is quite simple. We want a life filled with joy! We want to start a family and fill our days with love, laughter, and warmth. We are excited to grow old together and feel the same excitement and affection that we feel now, and love each other more everyday.
