You can walk this park, or drive it whatever works for you. Highly recommend!
Pike Peak is Americas Mountain and is the mountain referred to as "Purple Mountain Majesty" in America the Beautiful. It is 14,115 ft elevation (our local what they call "14'er") You can take a train up to the top of Pikes Peak!! Its pretty cool, might be a little chilly and its typically between 20-30 degrees cooler up there than the ground, but its fun if you want to do something interesting.
Catch a concert at Ford Amphitheater!
If you come a few days early pop by Manitou Springs - its a a great little afternoon get away. There is a little penny arcade with see ball and great food feels like you escaped to a mountain town just on the outskirts of Colorado Springs. Only about 20 minutes away from downtown.
This is Walker and I'd favorite little spot. It's the first place we went to celebrate our engagement and it's fulled with so many memories. Pop by for a drink- it's a little rough around the edges, but it's a little bit of our memories together.
The first night Walker and I met- he told me about this little place that had the best burger in Colorado Springs (He lived in Fort Collins at the time). Little did he know, I lived within walking distance of this place. This was the spot for one of our first few dates together, and is a place we frequent when we can. Warning- drinks are strong!
