Fly into Guatemala City airport (direct flights from Houston, Dallas, LA, Chicago & Miami) then take a shuttle or uber to Antigua, Guatemala. You can also rent a car but Antigua is such a walkable town that it's not needed.
The whole weekend is bright, fun & floral!
Antigua is a walkable town! The venue is in the heart of the city so you should be able to walk to the hotel. Ubers and taxis are also readily available if you want to save your dancing feet ;)
Make sure you have your passport (and that it hasn't expired). If you need to apply for one now, you have time. You will however not need a visa to visit Guatemala. Check your cell phone plan to see what your international calling/text is. Generally, it's $10 a day to use your phone like you would use it at home.
Yes, it is very safe. Antigua is a very desired area in Guatemala making it the safest area. We went there January 2024 and had zero worries about our safety. It's a beautiful place that we are excited to show to our friends and family.
We ask that there are no children (besides queen Lottie and her cousin, Abigail) at the ceremony/reception. However (as new parents), we do understand this is your vacation as well. If you are open to a Guatemalan babysitter then you can bring your kids but have to be trusting of the local nanny. We are happy to make introductions but please no drama :)
