The ceremony will begin at 2pm so please arrive at least 30 minutes beforehand. You are welcome to arrive from 1pm.
We'd like you to feel comfortable so wear whatever you want to - bearing in mind it will be a Scottish Winter!
Yes - there is plenty. Feel free to leave your car overnight but please make sure you leave any access routes free and collect your car by 11am the next day.
Yes, there is a large unmanned cloakroom. Please feel free to leave your things here all day at no cost.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you as we're keeping the day intimate with just close family and friends.
We'd prefer the wedding to be an adult-only event.
As kind as wedding presents are, we would like to take the opportunity to contribute to two organisations close to our hearts. Our two chosen charities are Hopefield Animal Sanctuary and MIND. Attached is a link to the donation page: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/chrisandchloeweddingcharityfund?utm_term=3MVzGzAxJ
We've chosen a Humanist ceremony as this aligns with our beliefs and lifestyle. Contrary to English wedding laws, a Humanist ceremony is legally binding in Scotland.
We'd prefer for there to be no photography during the ceremony, but anything after this is welcomed!
We will provide natural confetti (made from leaves!) on the day so don't worry about bringing your own.
We have found a couple of highly rated taxi firms from Dundee and put their details in the 'travel' section of the website.
Guardswell is a working farm which only hosts a handful of weddings per year - their ethos centres around sustainability and respect for the environment. It is very important to us that we keep these values in mind throughout the day. Guardswell is set in 150 acres of beautiful Scottish countryside overlooking the Tay river. We'd encourage you to explore the grounds and scenery while you are here (and say hello to Hugo and Ollie - the resident donkeys!)
All of the food will be completely vegan and served in the middle of the tables so you can help yourselves to whatever you fancy. If you have any allergies or intolerances, please let us know and we'll have you covered.
We will be serving fizz and wine throughout the reception and meal but feel free to use the bar for any other drinks. Our bar takes both cash and card and last orders are at 11:45pm.
We are planning to light the fire pits in the evening and will provide marshmallows to toast! Please feel free to keep the fire going all evening (or bring a guitar along for a sing-along!)
We have sourced our favourite hotels and other accommodation in the surrounding area - please see our 'travel' page.
Due to licensing, the wedding will end at midnight - we'd suggest booking taxis for 12.15am latest.
As soon as you like! It would be really helpful to have all RSVPs received by October 2019 as this will help us with planning! We'll be sending out formal invitations around September.
