Black Balsam Knob
This spot is one of our most treasured places, as this is where Anders popped the question to Chloe! With multiple pull off spots along the way, the drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway offers many scenic views of the mountains! The hike to the top of Black Balsam Knob takes about 15-20 minutes and is not too rigorous for most. Enjoy the 360 degree views once you reach the top of the trail.
The Marquee
If you are looking to explore through one of the most eye catching, unique, and beautiful art galleries in North Carolina, this is the place for you! Enjoy observing, or purchasing, many different pieces of art, including paintings, fashion, furniture, and decor created by artists who live right here in Asheville!
North Carolina Glass Center - Asheville, NC
The NC Glass Center is one of Chloe's favorite date spots Anders has taken her to! Enjoy a 30 minute class in getting to design and create your own piece of glass art alongside professional glass blowers!
Point Lookout Vineyards
This vineyard is a serene spot to take in panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Enjoy comfort food and taste some of the best wine Western NC has to offer!
Axeville Axe Throwing Club - Asheville
Another one of Anders and Chloe's favorite date spots! If you enjoy light hearted competition as they do with an exciting twist, come for a friendly game of axe throwing! This spot is also a fun place to enjoy light bar snacks, drinks, and backyard style games. Participants between the ages of 13-17 must be accompanied by an adult.
Stone Ridge Tavern
Looking for a place to enjoy a hearty meal with family that also has an aesthetic mountain atmosphere? Stone Ridge Tavern offers an extensive lunch and dinner menu, along with a great selection of specialty drinks and desserts. This is another special spot for Anders and Chloe, as this is the restaurant where Anders and his brother have worked since high school!
Biltmore Village
The Historic Biltmore Village houses many restaurants and shops right outside of the Biltmore Estate property. Enjoy many recognizable, and new, stores and delicious dining options. This area is also a great place to walk around and get some fresh air outside if you're looking to stay on your feet without having to climb up a mountain.
