We initially bonded on the dating app. Bumble where we discussed our shared love for the outdoors, Spongebob, and sarcasm. We met up in person for the first time in October of 2020 in Denver, CO during the lingering phases of COVID when minimal "normal" date options were available. Our first date started in Cheeseman Park near Scott's apartment and Kathryn's old neighborhood where the chilly wind and last hours of sun greeted us after the workday. We decided to relocate to the roof of Scott's apartment building and spent the night chatting about camping, nature adventures, sharing outdoorsy pictures, Game of Thrones, video games, and more. Our first dates consisted of playing Yahtzee, watching Willy Wonky (the original, duh), playing Mario Cart, and becoming our true weird selves with one another. We continued to have very low-key and non-social dates for a while and soon enough became boyfriend and girlfriend. We've lived together since May 2022 and have 2 very cute cats named August and Zelda. Our favorite things to do together are play video games, go on walks, camp, see new scenery, ski, sing random songs together, and be dorks. We are so excited to see what the future of being a married couple holds for us!
