Public Transportation

Taking public transportation is an easy and cost effective way to travel into Manhattan and to The Empire Hotel: From JFK Airport: take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station, then take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) to Penn Station. From Penn Station, take the 1 or 2 subway trains to 66 St - Lincoln Center. The Empire Hotel is a short walk from there! From Newark (EWR) Airport: take the AirTrain to the NJ Transit Station, then take NJ Transit to New York Penn Station (make sure not to get off at NEWARK Penn Station!). From New York Penn Station, take the 1 or 2 subway trains to 66 St - Lincoln Center. The Empire Hotel is a short walk from there! From LaGuardia (LGA) Airport: take the FREE LaGuardia Link Q70 Airport Shuttle Bus to the Woodside Station. You can catch the Q70 from Terminals B and C. If arriving into Terminal A, take the airport shuttle to Terminal B. From the Woodside Station, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) to Penn Station. From Penn Station, take the 1 or 2 subway trains to 66 St - Lincoln Center. The Empire Hotel is a short walk from there! Pro Tip: Google Maps may suggest taking the E train from JFK or LaGuardia airports, however, we recommend taking the LIRR as it is faster and easier! Trust us! How to buy tickets: - LIRR tickets can be purchased using the MTA TrainTime App - NJ Transit tickets can be purchased using the NJ Transit App - For the subways in NYC, MetroCards are no longer available or used. You can simply use a contactless credit card or device, including your cell phone or smart watch to pay at the turnstiles!

Travel Note

Yellow Cab or Ride Share- Uber or Lyft

There will be plenty of Ubers, Lyfts, and Yellow Cabs available to take you from the airport to the hotel, but keep in mind rideshare apps and cabs are much more expensive in NYC than they are in other places! We recommend using the public transportation options we listed above!
