Garda lake is simply stunning, and not far from Verona. You can drive there (30 min), take a bus, or take a train to Peschiera. Take a walk in Lazise, or climb up to monte Baldo to enjoy the spectacular views!
Verona is a walkable city, with beautiful places to see. The markets in Piazza Erbe are a good starting point. From there, walk to the the Arena (mini colosseum), sottoriva, piazza Dante, ponte Pietra, or climb up to Castel S. Pietro for beautiful views of the city. While walking do not forget to stop for a glass of wine or some quality shopping, there's plenty of both! Ryan's favourite is ususally buying some lovely Italian shoes, having a "few" glasses of wine, eating all the food he could his hands on, and being in awe with all the art! Few suggestions: Osteria del Bugiardo, Bar al ponte, Osteria dal Zovo.
One of the best restaurants you will ever go to! Local food, local wine, and infinite passion for all they do.
