The meeting point is Castelvecchio. The tour will then lead you to the Arco dei Gavi, the old Via Postumia, the romanic church of S. Lorenzo, until the roman Portoni Borsari. From here you will walk into the medieval times, across hidden places and popular legends. The walk continues on cobblestoned little streets towards Piazza Erbe, S. The Pieve di San Giorgio di Valpolicella (also called Pieve di San Giorgio "Ingannapoltron") is an ancient parish church, probably built on a place previously assigned to the pagan cult and dating back to the VIII century. The name "Ingannapoltron" means "to fool the lazy", and it refers to the fact that the Pieve looks close when you are at the foot of the hill, but it's not! The current religious building represents one of the most interesting and ancient examples of Romanesque architecture in the province of Verona. Parking is limited. Parcheggio limitato, zona ZTL. In the heart of Valpolicella, on the eastern slopes of the hill of Castelrotto, where the homonymous, enchanting village of stone houses and palaces stands. Here is where you will find the Villa we picked for our wedding. It was built between the end of the fifteenth century and the beginning of the sixteenth century, initially as a fortress house to defend the grounds and later expanded to a sumptuous summer residence...We cannot wait to welcome you there!
