Two Become One

"Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." Mark 10:9

How We Met

August 18, 2006

They met in college, in the Texas summer of 2006. Chiara headed to a college party, single with no interest of dating anyone at the time. David too was single and not looking for anything serious. Both were there. David walked up to her but she walked away. He saw her again a second time, pursued and it was different this time. They ended up hitting it off and talked until 3 am on the porch. After that night, they were inseparable and what became a love story of many ups and downs was one that was of trusting in God and walking in full faith. Some of those years were spent apart, yet individually they were molded to be made ready and to come back together again. After a long journey to the top, David knew he had been wanting to propose for awhile. Finally, the day had come and the joyful forever started on 7/8/19 overlooking the vast Grand Canyon.

How He Proposed

July 9, 2019

It took awhile to find the right timing. As we all know, there isn't always the right one - you just do it. David consulted with the closest people in Chiara's life and on Valentine's Day, him and his mom went to buy the ring together. Chiara and David are nature lovers at heart, looking for adventure on walking/hiking trails. The Grand Canyon topped their bucket list and was a place they had their heart set on to visit. After careful planning, the perfect opportunity aligned with the perfect question for his future bride. On July 9, 2019, David proposed to Chiara at the top of Guano Point, overlooking the Grand Canyon. She said YES before he could finish. There was a crowd present and applauses were heard down to the bottom. They returned back to Vegas to celebrate with his Dad, stepmom and family to toast to the joyful announcement.
