How We Met

It All Started At A Wedding...

In the summer of 2021, Two of Jeff and I's mutual friends (Taylor and Logan) were getting married and as it turns out, they had a bit of a plan in mind with some help from a few other special people. Thanks to a little behind-the-scenes scheming, we met on the dance floor-a few drinks in. Jeff was bouncing around, full of energy, while I was hiding out in the bathroom, trying to avoid being introduced to “some single guy.” My cousin Val (and my now brother-in-law, Brendan) had other ideas. When I came back with Val basically dragging me out and reminding me it's all for fun, they had it all set up for us to “accidentally” bump into each other. And from that moment… something just clicked. We started talking every day after that. About a month after our not-so-subtle setup, Jeff asked me to dinner. A huge storm rolled in and derailed his original plans, so our first official date ended up being at the Chick-fil-A drive-thru. Romantic? Oddly, yes. Jeff swears he knew that night—in the glow of the drive-thru lights—that I was the one. I remember calling Val and telling her how as nervous as I was to meet this "some single guy", he may be the one that sticks around and surly enough he was. It didn’t take long for both of us to realize this was it—we’d found our person to do life with. Fast forward to July 19, 2025. Jeff proposed in Oxford, Maryland, at one of the first places we had a real date (not fast food this time!). We’d spent hours on that beach back when we were just getting to know each other, so it was the perfect place for him to pop the question. Now looking forward, as we prepare for our wedding in August, we’re so excited—and incredibly grateful. So many of the people who had a hand in our story will be at our wedding to celebrate with us, and we can’t wait to see new memories and connections take shape… maybe even on the dance floor, just like we did.
