General Travel Information

We strongly advise staying at a hotel in Athens, TN (see below) the night of the event. However, this is about 1 hour outside of Knoxville, in a very rural area (AKA-there is not much to do there). If you plan on joining us for a longer stay, may we suggest staying in a hotel in downtown Knoxville, that way you can experience all the city has to offer! Please find places to stay in Knoxville at the very bottom of this page! Also, you will either need to rent a car, or take an Uber/Lyft from the Knoxville area/airport to Athens and back. The shuttle will be available for trips between one of the hotels in Athens and the venue only. Ubers/Lyfts are readily available in Knoxville, however, may be limited in Athens for the return trip.

A shuttle will be available continuously, every 20-30 minutes, starting about 2 hours prior to the ceremony until the reception ends from the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express/Hampton Inn parking lot. The venue is in a somewhat rural location. Please strongly consider utilizing the shuttle to avoid having to navigate the back roads at night! Also worth noting: If you drive to the ceremony but are unable to drive back to the hotel, the venue will allow you to leave your car overnight. They MUST be picked up by 9am the morning of January 26th.

Please note it is about 1 hour from the venue. This hotel is on historic Gay Street, and only 1 block from Market Square and The Old City. Basically its right in the middle of the action! It boasts a roof top bar with a view of the Smoky Mountains

Please note it is about 1 hour from the venue. This hotel is on historic Gay Street, and only 1 block from Market Square and The Old City. Basically its right in the middle of the action! The coffee in the lobby is from a locally owned company called KBrew- its our favorite coffee shop!

Please note it is about 1 hour from the venue. Definitely more of a splurge, this boutique hotel is located in Market Square, which is known for its food, shopping, and nightlife! The hotel even has its own speakeasy bar called the Peter Kern Library
