Maid of Honor
Suhey and I attended law school together in Chicago, but ironically, we didn't become friends until after we graduated and were both working at Chase Bank. Once we realized how much we had in common, we immediately bonded. Over the years, Suhey has become one of my closest and most trusted friends; someone I turn to whenever I need advice or guidance before making any major decision. She has provided me with valuable insights and unwavering support, and I am truly grateful to have a friend like her in my life. Our bond grew even deeper when we became mothers around the same time, sharing the joys and challenges of motherhood together. That experience brought us closer than ever, and we've continued to nurture our friendship through every stage of life. Suhey is an incredible friend and confidant, and I'm so honored to have her by my side on this special day.
Matron of Honor
I met La-Shell in 7th grade when we both attended Wesleyan Academy. We connected instantly, and our bond grew even stronger when we discovered that we were cousins. From that moment on, we've been inseparable and the best of friends. We've shared so many coming-of-age experiences, from navigating school and relationships to celebrating life's milestones together. Due to her psychology background, I often rely on her for "free therapy" when I need advice on how to navigate challenging situations. La-Shell is the kind of friend who will defend me to the max in front of others, but then tell me I was dead wrong behind closed doors; her honesty and loyalty are unmatched. She is one of my most trusted friends, and I'm so grateful to have her in my life.
Matron of Honor
Naja and I met in January 2002, when I started my freshman year at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. We connected instantly, and she played such a big role in my life as I struggled with adjusting to college life and being away from home. Throughout our friendship, Naja has been like my safe place; I can tell her anything and know that I will never be judged. I often tell people that Naja is the one who keeps me together. She is so organized and has a natural ability to help me keep my life in order when it matters most. She knows so many of my secrets and has always offered unwavering support and understanding, no matter the situation. I had the honor of being the maid of honor at her wedding in 2015, and I am so thrilled that she is now returning the favor for mine. Naja is an incredible friend, and I am so grateful to have her by my side as I take this next big step in life.
Bridesmaid
Aje'na is Luis's daughter, and I still remember how nervous I was to meet her, praying that she would like me. From the moment we met, I realized she was the sweetest girl with the kindest heart. I truly enjoy spending time with her, and it means so much to me that my daughter absolutely adores her. Aje'na is the perfect big sister to Cheridan, and I am so excited for the journey ahead as we officially become family.

So much can be said about my relationship with Miss Tenese! For nearly 20 years, Tenese has been like the little sister I always wanted but never had. Through every twist and turn in life, we've been there for each other, offering advice and support during the tough times and celebrating the good ones. She's someone I can always count on to have my back, just as she knows I'll always have hers. Our bond is unbreakable, and I know it's one that will last FOREVER!
Bridesmaid
I met Antonette through my relationship with Tenese (they are very close friends) and had always interacted with her over the years on social media. However, our friendship truly blossomed once we both became members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Our shared love for AKA brought us closer together, and becoming line sisters strengthened our bond in ways I will always cherish. I am truly honored to have Antonette by my side on my special day, as both a sister and a friend.
Bridesmaid
I met Chenayah in 2020, when she first did my hair. I was immediately drawn to her because of her drive and ambition. She reminded me so much of myself when I was her age. What started as a stylist-client relationship quickly evolved into a genuine friendship. One of my fondest memories with her is when she joined me on my girls' trip to Bali, where we shared so many laughs and unforgettable experiences. Our bond has only grown stronger since then, and I know our friendship is one that will withstand the test of time.
Bridesmaid
Tabia and I consider ourselves cousins because our fathers were like brothers, and we're also godsisters since my father was her godfather. She has always been a part of my life and a constant source of support, but our bond deepened even more after we supported each other through the tragic loss of close family members. Tabia is not only my family but she is also one of my biggest cheerleaders. When I need someone to hype me up, I know I can always count on her--just as she knows she can do the same with me.
Bridesmaid
Nina has been one of my closest friends since my sophomore year of high school. Over the years, we've shared countless experiences and have always been there to support and uplift each other when it's needed most. Whenever we get on the phone or spend time together, it's always so nostalgic; we tend to lose all sense of time as we reminisce on old times. I truly value her as a friend and am so grateful that we've maintained our strong bond throughout the years. Having her by my side on this special day means the world to me.
Bridesmaid
K'Monique is my first cousin, and while I've known her all her life, our relationship truly began to blossom once she became an adult. I was immediately drawn to her because of our similarities; we both share very close relationships with our mothers and are highly driven and ambitious. I got to see these qualities firsthand during our unforgettable girls' trip to Bali, where we spent quality time together and created lasting memories. K'Monique is like a little sister to me, and it means so much to know that she sees me as a big sister. Our bond is something I deeply cherish, and I'm so grateful to have her in my life.
Bridesmaid
Sheniqua and I have known each other for over 10 years now. Ironically, we first connected on Facebook through a mutual friend and managed to build a meaningful friendship through phone calls and texts, despite not meeting in person for an entire decade. When we finally did meet, it was like magic! We instantly bonded over the many things we had in common and have been there to support each other through some of life's most trying times. Sheniqua has always been incredibly supportive of my relationship with Luis, and I couldn't imagine tying the knot without her by my side.
Bridesmaid
I met Jackie in 2009, when we both started working at NYPD. I remember being standoffish at first because I had just moved to New York and didn't know anyone. One day at work, she came up to me and asked, "What's the deal with you? Why you don't talk to nobody?" I was awed by her directness, and we instantly connected. Jackie was like a lifeline during my time in New York; she always had my back, showed me the ropes as a native New Yorker, and made the city feel less overwhelming. We share so many fond memories of the time I spent there, and I've often told her she's the reason I stayed in New York as long as I did. I'm so honored to have her by my side on this special day.
Best Man
Met Allee at Akron U. We weren't roommates but were part of the same crew. Wasn't too long before our similar ambitions would create a lifelong connection. Since freshman year of college, definitely a man I can count on. Ride or die is an understatement. True Godfather to my kids. Ma dawg for life!
Groomsman
My second father! From the basketball court to life - more wisdom shared than one can ever know. Everything I know about old school music came from this man. As I was one of the youngest, Jose was the only "big" of "my generation" that would make sure I wasn't left behind. Would have it no other way but to have him be by my side for our special day. Love alone for my brothers!
Groomsman
John was always the genius of the family - No problem he can’t fix. Still wishing I had that brain. It was inspiring to watch him solve any and everything. Back when Rubik's cube was a thing, he was the only person I know could solve it. He gave me the "know-how" and the ambition to be the best. Awesome feeling knowing he will be there to share in our special occasion. Would have it no other way. Love alone for my brothers!
Groomsman
The Leader - sometimes it just comes natural. Y’all know where I get my leadership skills from. Being closest in age, we naturally hung out the most. From riding bikes all over the island to making tree houses in the back yard... we still have that natural bond - one that will always be inseparable even at my most precious occasions. Love alone for my brothers!
Groomsman
My Firstborn! My pride and joy. Watched every sport, played every game. Hardly a day goes by without talking. When he became a man, it meant the world to me how he supported me through some of the toughest times. And now, the relationship he's developed with my wife to be has made this unity even greater. I love that man!
Groomsman
Pops is my cousin x 2 = my brother. Our moms are sisters and our fathers are brothers! And as such we all hung out like we lived together. If we weren't by his house, he was by ours. I owe a tremendous amount of lessons learned to this man. Had to make him part of my special occasion. Love alone for my brothers!
Groomsman
Cherrisse's younger brother and someone she fiercely loves and defends. Anyone Cherrisse holds so close to her heart is considered family to me. I'm looking forward to having him stand by our side on this special day
Groomsman
Jerrick is my second nephew and has always been there when I need him. He answered my call again in becoming one of my groomsman. He completes this circle.
Groomsman
Gotta have a party animal in the mix! My nephew got this on lock down. I’m ecstatic he will be part of this special moment. Ashur for sure in the house!!
Groomsman
LuJay is my younger cousin (not my son, LOL). The name is popular in the family. We know LuJay will be bringing that energy and I'm happy he is joining us for our grand event.
Groomsman
Akito is my younger cousin and a solid addition to the groomsmen lineup. Bringing a cool, laid-back vibe to the group, I am happy to have him join us on our big day.
Flower Girl
My baby girl, Cheridan. She entered my life in 2017, and I am endlessly blessed that God chose me to be her mom. She is the light of my life and the greatest gift I could ever ask for. It is my hope that the memories of this day are etched in her heart forever and that we can relive them in the years to come. Having her by my side on this journey means the world to me, and I can't wait to share this beautiful day with her.
Flower Girl
LondonMarie is La-Shell's daughter, and I am so delighted to have both mother and daughter in the wedding. LondonMarie is as sweet as can be, and she reminds me so much of her mom when she was younger. I know she is going to shine on the big day, and I can't wait to see her beautiful self as she participates in such a special moment.
Flower Girl
Anastasia is Luis's only goddaughter, and we are so excited to have her be a part of the special day. She holds a special place in Luis's heart, and it means so much to both of us to share this moment with her. We hope that the memory of this beautiful day remains etched in her heart forever and becomes one she cherishes for years to come.
Flower Girl
Alaunee is the first princess of the next generation in the Amaro family. Her sweet personality and bright smile light up every room she enters. We know she will sprinkle not only petals but also joy and love down the aisle.
Flower Girl
Avaea is the latest princess to join the Amaro clan and already brings so much joy to everyone around her. As Alaunee's little sister, she is following right in her footsteps with her adorable personality and radiant charm. We are thrilled to have both sisters be a part of this special day.
Flower Girl
Amayah is one of Cheridan's closest friends, and their bond has been so special to watch. They've known each other since they were about 4 years old and have always gotten along so well. It warms my heart to see their friendship grow, and I know the two of them will have an absolute ball together on the big day.
Flower Girl
Brenda-Rose is the daughter of my sorority sister, and from the moment I met her, I just knew she had to be a part of the wedding. She is such an elegant little beauty with a grace beyond her years. There's no doubt that she will fit right in with the rest of the princesses, adding even more charm and magic to the day.
Ring Bearer
My first great nephew! No wedding is complete without the perfect ring bearer. You couldn't find a "spiffier" "little man" for the part.
Usher
Biko tried to question my intentions for Cherrisse the first day he met me, lol. He's been like a lil bro ever since. We are ecstatic to have him join our special event.
Wedding Day Coordinator
First born of the generation, my niece has always been the organizer in the family. The second Matriarch in the making. We knew no one else could keep this day together like Jay.
Usher
D'Mari is Cherrisse's younger cousin, but he's always felt more like her little brother. From childhood antics to grown-up heart-to-hearts, he's been her constant source of laughter and love. We're so happy to have him join us on our big day.
