Chateau Elan Vs Chapel on McEver

Answer

We understand that there are two different locations associated with our wedding weekend, so here's a quick breakdown: Chateau Elan Winery & Resort (Braselton, GA) Host hotel for the wedding weekend Location of the Rehearsal Dinner Celebration and wine tasting Recommended lodging option for guests who would like the full wedding weekend experience Features restaurants, wine tastings, a spa, lounges, shops, and other resort amenities The bride and groom will return to Chateau Elan after the wedding to continue celebrating with family and friends The Chapel on McEver (Gainesville, GA) Wedding ceremony venue Location where the bride and groom will exchange vows A beautiful chapel and sanctuary setting No alcohol is permitted on the church premises There will be no traditional wedding reception at this location Distance Between the Two Locations: The Chapel on McEver and Chateau Elan are approximately 20minutes apart, depending on traffic. Which Location Should I Go To? Friday: Chateau Elan for the Rehearsal Dinner Celebration (RSVP required). Saturday: The Chapel on McEver for the Wedding Ceremony. After the Ceremony: Guests are welcome to enjoy the remainder of the day as they wish. Those staying at Chateau Elan may continue enjoying the resort's restaurants, wine tastings, and amenities alongside the bride and groom. Please be sure to review the wedding itinerary on our website for the most up-to-date schedule and location details.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please visit the Travel page on our website for hotel recommendations. Please note that those are not your only lodging options. You are welcome to book any hotel that is convenient for you, whether it is near the wedding venue, close to the Rehearsal Dinner Celebration, in the Atlanta area, or in Tucker, GA 30084, where the bride and groom reside. Our recommended hotels are simply suggestions to help make planning easier, but we encourage you to choose accommodations that best fit your travel needs and budget.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Reservation Deadline: July 30, 2026 We have secured the opportunity to reserve a room block at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort for our wedding weekend. Minimum Requirement: At least 10 rooms must be reserved for the room block to remain active. Hotel Details Address: 100 Rue Charlemagne, Braselton, GA 30517 Stay Dates: December 3–6, 2026 Rate: $289.00 per room, per night (not per person) Sleeps up to 4 guests per room Daily Resort Fee: $55.00 per room Taxes & Fees: Currently 16% tax plus $5.00 per night $300 deposit due by July 30th to secure your reservation Estimated Cost The base room cost for a 3-night stay is approximately $867.00 ($289 × 3 nights). After taxes, resort fees, and additional hotel fees, guests should expect a total cost of approximately $1,100–$1,250 per room for the entire stay. Please note that room rates are quoted per room, per night—not per person. Up to four guests may stay in each room, allowing the cost to be split among roommates. For example, if four guests share a room, the total lodging cost can be divided among all occupants, making the stay significantly more affordable. While we highly recommend staying at the host hotel for the full wedding weekend experience, guests are welcome to stay at any hotel that is convenient for them. ** Please be sure to include your full name when sending your Zelle confirmation to mcherish10@gmail.com** ** Please note that room rates and fees are subject to change until reservations are confirmed.**

Question

What if I want to stay one night at Chateau Elan

Answer

If you would prefer to stay only one night at Chateau Elan, that is absolutely fine. However, please keep in mind that the Rehearsal Dinner Celebration begins at 1:00 PM on Friday. If you are staying at the resort, you are welcome to arrive dressed and ready for the event. When check-in opens at 4:00 PM, you can simply check into your room and return to the celebration. If you plan to check out on Saturday, please allow yourself enough time to gather your belongings and travel back to the vineyard without feeling rushed. For guests who would like to enjoy the full wedding weekend experience, I highly recommend a minimum two-night stay from December 4th–6th. Since there will not be a traditional wedding reception following the ceremony, the bride and groom will be returning to Chateau Elan to continue celebrating with family and friends. Question

Why is there no wedding reception?

Answer

This was a very intentional decision by the bride and groom. Rather than hosting a traditional reception, we chose to focus on creating a meaningful, stress-free wedding weekend that allows us to truly enjoy our special day and the time spent with our loved ones. We decided to invest our resources into our future together, including our honeymoon and other important goals, rather than a large reception. We also wanted to avoid the pressure that often comes with planning a formal reception, coordinating every detail, and trying to meet everyone's expectations. After speaking with many married couples, we heard a common theme: the wedding day goes by quickly, much of the reception becomes a blur, and many wished they had spent more time being present and enjoying the moment. We took that advice to heart. For us, the most important part of the day is exchanging our vows, celebrating our commitment, and spending quality time with our family and friends. We have chosen a more intimate and relaxed approach that reflects who we are as a couple, and we are confident it is the right choice for us. Thank you for supporting our vision and helping us create memories we will cherish for a lifetime

Question

Can I financially contribute to the wedding?

Answer

Absolutely! While your presence is the greatest gift we could receive, some family and friends have asked if there are ways they can contribute to making our wedding weekend even more special. Areas where contributions would be especially appreciated include: 1. *Hiring specialized support staff to assist with the care of our autistic son during the Rehearsal Dinner Celebration and Wedding Day 2. *Photography and videography services 3. *Sponsor our stay at Chateau Elan 4. *Floral arrangements 5. Hosting or contributing to an Engagement Party 6. Honeymoon 7. Wedding favors for guests 8. Transportation While contributions are never expected, they are sincerely appreciated and will help us create a memorable and stress-free wedding experience for our family and guests. Please contact the bride directly at 773-948-0716 if you would like additional information.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Rather than a traditional registry, we've opted for a cash fund to help us start this exciting new chapter. You can contribute through the Venmo link on our website, or if you prefer, you're welcome to use Zelle, bring cards or cash to the wedding or rehearsal dinner, or scan the QR code by the guest book on the date of the wedding. We kindly ask that you refrain from store-specific gift cards. Thank you for celebrating with us!
