Maid of Honor
“The little sister”. I’ve known this lovely lady her entire life. I have had the privilege of seeing her grow up into a phenomenal woman. We have the typical big sister little sister relationship, so yes, she gets on my nerves, lol, but I love her to pieces. She’s an educator and an artist. She has traveled the world and taught in China. She’s creative, free spirited, fearless and quirky but that’s what makes her special. I couldn’t imagine not having her by my side on this special day. It’s time for the little sister to take care of the big sister so I have tasked her with the responsibility of Maid of Honor. I know she’s going to make me proud!

“The sis-n-law”. This lovely lady has been in my life since 1993 when she caught the eye of my brother, Gray Hall, on the campus of the illustrious North Carolina A&T State University. Can I get an AGGIE PRIDE!! All jokes aside, she has seen me grow up into the woman I am today. She has always been supportive of me and the kids. We have taken trips together, laughed together and cried together. Over the years we have created some great memories. She is poised and an excellent example of what a lady should be. She has given me a handsome nephew, Brandon and beautiful niece, Zoe. She’s definitely a Black girl who rocks, serving as a community leader and Program Manager for DSS. She has a creative side and loves crafts. I can’t wait to see what design ideas she comes up with for the wedding.

“The oldest daughter” This lovely lady and I have grown up together. She’s the sweet daughter. I like to call her mother hen. I was a child myself when I had her but that hasn’t stopped either of us. We both have defied the odds and statistics of what society says we would be. She is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Merchandising and Design. She left a lasting mark while there being the recipient of the Chancellor’s award and graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 3.8 GPA. She has won and participated in several fashion design competitions. She is currently working towards a Master of Arts and Contemporary Fashion Design in Paris, France. Her creativity is unparalleled and has proven to be a great asset in bringing my wedding vision to life.
Bridesmaid
“The middle daughter”. Now this lovely lady is sweet and spicy. I call her my diva. She has a heart of gold but also knows how to put you in your place. She found her voice early and does not mind using it. We call her the great debater. She is also a jokester, always wanting to play a prank on someone. You can’t be around Sade and not laugh. She has always been academically driven. She graduated Southeast High School with 4.3 GPA and is currently attending Hampton University majoring in Business Management. Sade loves for things to be clean, neat and organized. I’m depending on these skills to have a free-flowing, systematic, stress free wedding.
Bridesmaid
“The other sis-n-law”. This lovely lady caught the eye of my other brother, Matthew Ivey. She has a huge heart and is giving of herself. She is also the social butterfly. You can’t be around Toviea and not feel welcomed. Toviea has always been team Ant and Cheri; questioning when he was going to seal the deal. So, my day can’t be complete without her standing by my side. Her support has been amazing. Matt and Toviea embraced Anthony and I from the beginning. They have been around to see the evolution of our relationship. In fact, we took our first couples trip with them. We have had some of the best times, hanging out at their house, at their many gatherings. It warms my heart to see how they have welcomed Anthony into the family.
Bridesmaid
“The future sis-n-law” This lovely lady came into my life many moons ago at work. At first glance you would think she has a tough exterior but deep down she has one of the biggest hearts. She has been supportive over the years. In those tough times we have been the one to pick each other up, the shoulder to cry on and the cheerleader to keep us going. I guess you could say she is the catalyst that got this ball rolling. You see, she’s the sister of the groom. No, she didn’t play matchmaker. It was simply “can I give your number to my brother; he wanted it, of course”. That’s it. That’s the beginning of our journey. She has certainly talked us both off the cliff, a time or two, when we were ready to throw in the towel. So it’s only fitting she be by my side to witness what she had a hand in
Bridesmaid
“My A-1 since Day 1”. This lovely lady came into my life in 1998. We met day 1 of freshman orientation. We helped each other get through nursing school. She came to my house and brought class notes and studied with me when I gave birth to Sade. We helped each other get through some difficult situations. No matter how far away, she is always supportive of us and a phone call away. Erica is always that friend that will check me and tell me things that I usually don’t want to hear. She probably doesn’t know this but she helped me jump start my life. We took a vacation together to Jamaica. On that trip she helped me to remember what it is to live life. Because of things I was going through at the time, I had stopped. She had me laughing to the point of tears. It was certainly an adventure.
Flower Girl
“The youngest daughter”. This lovely little lady is my miracle child. When the doctors said no, God said yes. She is full of energy and the life of the room. She’s also feisty. I think she got that from her sister Sade. Being the youngest, she mirrors what she sees of her sisters. They have been great examples for her to follow. She is definitely the baby. She thinks she is supposed to go everywhere with me. When we are trying to relax at the house and have Anthony and Cheri time, it becomes Anthony, Cheri and Monet time. She has such a loving spirit and has grown very fond of Anthony. God answered my prayers when he sent Anthony into our lives. He said he would father the fatherless.
Mother of the Bride
“The Rock” This lovely lady is my favorite lady. She has had my back since day one. Through all of my triumphs and tragedies she has been there to congratulate me and help me pick up the pieces. I thank God for the jewel of a mother and Pastor He has given me. I have learned so much from her knowledge, wisdom, counsel and guidance. She knows no fear. Her faith is amazing. I have seen her abound to great heights in business defying all the odds that were stacked against her. I know it was many of her prayers that have protected us over the years. She was praying even when I didn’t have the strength nor courage to pray for myself. She is so loving, patient, kind-hearted and long suffering. She is an excellent example of what it means to be a virtuous woman and I’m glad I can call her Mom.
Father of the Bride
I'm daddy's oldest child. I feel like I get my creativity from my dad. He is very artistic.
