Brian and Annie met late in the cold dark winter of 2020. During this time, Seattle had started a second lockdown and so the city decreed that all those who went to bars must sit outside in the cold and rain, because that would be the best way to not get sick. Being the adventurers they are, Annie and Brian met at Star Brass Lounge in Georgetown Seattle on a cold January night. Underneath the flight path of landing airplanes, outside the range of heat lamps, Brian and Annie sat for several hours chatting about their lives, travels, and interests - scarcely noticing the soft rain. At the end of the night, being the gentleman Brian is, he walked Annie to her car. At this point, she wasn't sure if she liked him, or whether she would ever see him again. And yet, he stood there waiting for a kiss; however, she was not about to kiss a stranger on the first date, especially during a pandemic! Instead, she gave him a double hug to be friendly. He didn't ask for her phone number so she thought that may have been the last date. (Brian's Note: With few exceptions, 2 is better than 1, so I knew that she was really into me ... even if Annie won't admit it) A few days later, Brian messaged her again with a single 10 character message - his phone number. They chatted for a bit, and then he asked her out on another date again. At the end of the second date, she decided to kiss him. From thereon, they went on several more dinner dates eating out in the cold and cooked for each other at their own homes. They became more creative on finding things to do since most places were still closed or limited visitors. Brian has gotten Annie more into reading and hockey, while Annie got Brian more into traveling. Over the last year and half, they traveled together to Texas, Michigan, Hawaii, Arizona, Utah, and Mexico. Brian and Annie are excited to start their journey together as one. With their love of Christ, shared family values and desire to continue life together, it will be an honor to have you as their guest at their wedding in July 2023!
