Things To Do

Megan and John put together several sample itineraries for those of you who have time to explore San Francisco and the Bay Area. Feel free to reach out if you want any other recs!

Breakfast Sandwiches & A City Hike

Get one of the city’s dankest breakfast sandwiches at Devil’s Teeth before heading out to one of our favorite hikes in the city, Lands End, that ends up on Baker Beach and a great view of Golden Gate Bridge (depending on the fog). Text Megan if you’d like other low effort, high reward hiking recs!

Fish & Chips & Bikes

4542 Irving Street, San Francisco, CA 94122
, (415) 569-4984

Rent Lyft bikes and ride down Page St (closed to through traffic cars) through Golden Gate Park (3x the size of Central Park!!), ending up at Hook Fish for a fresh seafood lunch. Take it to go to eat on Ocean Beach across the way or hang out in their outdoor parklet.

A Day in the Life

San Francisco, CA 94117

Spend the day in Megan & John’s neighborhood, Hayes Valley. Stop by Bi-Rite Grocery on Divisadero St to pick up treats and drinks to eat at Alamo Square Park, home of the Painted Ladies. Walk down Hayes Street for ice cream at Salt & Straw or frozen Greek yogurt at Souvla with some boutique shopping along the way

Chinatown & the Circus

678 Green Street, San Francisco, CA 94133
, (415) 273-0600

Snag an early dinner at Z+Y (reservations recommended) for amazing szechuan food, followed by Club Fughazi for an acrobatics show dedicated to San Francisco. This is one of John and Megan's favorite date nights of all time!

Day Trips

Wine Country (1 hour drive to Napa/Sonoma). You can't go wrong here but we recommend no more than 3 wineries a day so you can relax and enjoy the scenery. Gloria Ferrer for Sparkling, Turnbull for California Reds and Robert Sinskey are crowd favorites. Coastal Drive down PCH 1 (3 hour drive to Big Sur). If you have time, it's worth the hype! Stop in Carmel / Monterey for lunch at La Bicyclette. Point Lobos State Park is Megan's favorite stop along the way. Point Reyes & Tomales Bay (1.5 hour drive). We love the Marshall Store for oysters fresh from the source. You can often see elk on the reserve!
