The wedding festivities will be held at The Venue at Southern Oaks Farm. The ceremony will be outdoors. There is some shade at the ceremony location but there will be an alternative area to stand for anyone that may need relief from the sun or have small children that need to move around. The reception will be held indoors. The venue is temperature controlled. Some outdoor seating will be available during the reception if necessary.
The ceremony will start at 4:30 pm sharp. If you are arriving late you will be stopped at the entrance and asked to wait until the ceremony is complete. The drive to the venue is near the ceremony site and we wish to keep it clear of dust from the road and not draw attention elsewhere. Once the ceremony is complete you will be able to park in the designated parking areas.
This is not a black-tie event however we do ask that you dress appropriate for the occasion. Business casual or wedding attire would be appreciated because we will have the opportunity to have all of you in pictures and want you to look back on the day and say "I looked good".
Due to no alcohol being served at the wedding there will be no transportation provided for the wedding guests. However, there will be plenty of parking close to both the ceremony site and the reception site. Some handicap spots will be available. Please lets us know in advance if you will be needing one.
After the ceremony is finished everyone will be directed to the reception area. There will be no cocktail hour. We will move straight into dinner at this time. Please be sure to look at the seating chart on the way in to find your table and sign the guestbook as well.
The bride and groom will not be doing a wedding registry. They plan to purchase a house and go on a cruise for the honeymoon the following year so if you wish to contribute to either of these events it is very much apricated but not necessary. There will be a card box at the guest book table if you would like to bring a card for the couple.
