Our Love Story

HOW WE MET (Her Version) Some sisters in our Kingdom Hall introduced us, and if I’m being honest… I was skeptical. He lived in Wisconsin, and all I could think about was how cold it was and how unrealistic the whole thing felt. But something told me to just be open, so we decided to start as friends... Somehow, that’s where everything began. We spent hours talking about anything and everything. We took personality quizzes just for fun, learning about each other in the most random but meaningful ways. We would laugh about the same little things like we had known each other forever. We watched anime and movies together, getting lost in stories and conversations. But what stood out to me the most was how natural it all felt. There was a comfort, a peace, and something deeper that we both recognized. I admired how sincere and intentional he was in his spirituality, and it made me feel safe building something that had real meaning. When he came to Dallas to visit, everything just clicked. Being with him in person only made everything softer, fuller, and more real. I fell in love with his emotional maturity, his patience, his warmth. And what started as something uncertain slowly became something I couldn’t imagine my life without. HOW WE MET (His Version) When we were introduced, I didn’t know what to expect, but I knew I wanted to get to know her. Even from a distance, there was something about her that felt different. We started off as friends, just talking, getting to know each other, and somehow never running out of things to say. And before I knew it, she became the highlight of my day. When I came to see her in Dallas, she was everything I knew she was and more. As the days went by, what drew me to her wasn’t just her beauty, radiant smile, or contagious laugh, but her confidence, style, and effortless presence that lit up every room she walked into. I also admired how selflessly she gives of herself to the people around her, her family, and her friends. She is driven, passionate, and intentional about her life, always striving to grow while still making others feel seen and cared for. I also deeply respected her love for Jehovah, always prioritizing spiritual things. The more I got to know her, the more I loved her. WHEN LOVE GREW What started with hesitation turned into something steady, intentional, and deeply rooted. We chose each other, again and again, growing from friendship into a love that felt natural and undeniable. From long distance visits to being knee deep in snow, from quiet nights watching shows to dreaming about our future, every moment brought us closer. Our shared faith, our laughter, and our deep understanding of each other made everything feel just right. THE PROPOSAL He told me we were just going on a tour of a castle. I believed him. As we walked through something that already felt dreamy, I had no idea that this moment would change my life forever. Then suddenly, it wasn’t just a tour anymore. It was our moment. And when he got down on one knee, in a place that felt like something out of a story, and asked the big question... It was the easiest 'yes' I have ever said!
