Wedding Party

Meet our friends and family who are walking down the aisle with us...

Kem Huston

Mother of the Bride

As Chelsea’s mother and Lucas’s mother-in-law, Kem is the heart of the family. Growing up, Chelsea’s favorite memories were their travels together and the extravagant, welcoming parties Kem hosted—her home was always the go-to spot for friends and cousins. Her career as a nurse served as the inspiration for Kelsey’s own path in healthcare. These days, Kem embraces her love for the open road on her motorcycle and continues to travel the globe with her close friends—though she’s never too far away to catch an Atlanta Falcons game.

Stanley Huston

Father of the Bride

Stanley is Chelsea’s father and Lucas’s father-in-law. Throughout her life, he has been her greatest motivator, pushing her to be her very best and, above all, a good person. Chelsea’s favorite childhood memories are the simple ones—tagging along on errands and enjoying his incredible cooking. Today, that love of food remains a family cornerstone; he always ensures Chelsea and Lucas are well-fed during their Atlanta trips. Whether it’s a home-cooked meal or a new restaurant, sharing a table with Stan is always a highlight for the newly formed family.

Camilla Jarman

Mother of the Groom

Camilla is the matriarch of the Jarman family, and Lucas still turns to her for advice to this day. She's a true supermom who built a successful career as an insurance agent, starting back when Lucas and Benji were in middle school. Watching her balance a thriving career with holding the family together has shaped who Lucas is today. He's beyond grateful to have her by his side on this day.

Steve Jarman

Father of the Groom

Steve is the kind of dad who can fix anything, having dug the family's basement and built their garage himself. Lucas once backed into his car, and instead of getting upset, Steve simply laughed and fixed it in the garage (he still calls me Crash). He taught Lucas about basketball, hard work, and the importance of being on time, lessons that have stayed with him ever since.

Kelsey Huston

Bridesmaid

Kelsey is Chelsea’s younger sister and Lucas’s sister-in-law. When she isn’t busy saving lives in the ICU or studying for her Nurse Practitioner degree, you can find her exploring Atlanta’s vibrant restaurant scene. She balances a demanding career with a love for great food and even better company!

Benji Jarman

Best Man

Benji is Lucas's younger brother, and the two of them fought constantly as kids. Nobody told them WWE was fake and there were injuries as a result (although surprisingly few all things considered). As they became adults they grew into genuinely close friends, with Benji welcoming Lucas into a spare bedroom/closet in Milwaukee during covid. Benji became a pharmacist, which means he's the one Lucas texts with vague medical questions he should probably just ask a real doctor. These days their time together revolves around sports, medicine, and playing Smash Bros.

Carli Jarman

Bridesmaid

Carli is Lucas’s older sister and Chelsea’s sister-in-law. She’s a true adventurer at heart who loves hiking, skiing, and anything involving the fresh mountain air. From the moment they met in 2022, Carli’s warmth made Chelsea feel like a part of the family right from the start.

Derrell Nelome

Groomsman

Chelsea's brother and I first met when her family came out to visit us in Seattle, and we hit it off right away. We even went to a Nintendo convention together, bonding over talking and playing Smash Bros, being the only one Lucas can talk about technical details of the game with. It's been great gaining another brother through this marriage.

Ida Wennerstrum

Matron of Honor

Ida and Chelsea first bonded at Georgia Tech over the realization that they were the only 'normal' Math majors in their research program. That bond carried them all the way to careers at Accenture and, eventually, to Ida’s 2022 wedding, where Lucas and Chelsea first met! Now, the two families meet up annually to catch up on life and introduce the next generation—starting with baby Eden. Chelsea is keeping her fingers crossed for a future playmate for Eden very soon!

Jack Wennerstrum

Groomsman

Jack is one of the biggest reasons there’s going to be a wedding at all. He introduced Lucas and Chelsea at his own wedding, so really he deserves either a toast or a strongly worded thank you card. He and Lucas started working together in 2019 and were pretty much neighbors in Boston, proving that Jack apparently just enjoys being around Lucas at all hours. Given his role in the origin story, having him part of the day feels only fitting.

Mya Havard

Maid of Honor

Mya and Chelsea’s friendship adds up perfectly! Best friends since meeting in Latin class at Spelman College in 2013, they bonded over both their love for math. Chelsea has enjoyed being the first friend to visit Mya in every city that she has moved to after college - and Mya is always one call + flight away when Chelsea needs her bff. Over the last decade, they’ve calculated life’s biggest moves side-by-side, supporting one another through new cities, new jobs, and now, the excitement of marriage.

Kelvyn Larsson

Groomsman

Kelvyn and Lucas have been close friends for 25 years, a streak that started in first grade and somehow survived all the way through high school and a year of living together in college. A favorite memory is the road trip out to California to visit Ryan, with both of them running clean out of money just in time to fill up with gas on the way home. Through every phase and every mile of distance, the two have managed to stay close the whole way.

Sierra Jenkins

Matron of Honor

Sierra and Chelsea met at Spelman College during their sophomore year SpelHouse Homecoming. Thanks to Sierra’s sweet nature, they became fast friends almost instantly. After graduation, when Sierra moved to New Orleans, it was one of the very first (and frequent!) stops on Chelsea’s cross-country tour to visit friends. Today, they share a bond so tight they speak on the phone every single day.

Ryan Mueller

Groomsman

Ryan and Lucas became close in middle school and spent the better part of high school holed up in Ryan's basement playing pool, ping pong, and Playstation. After graduation, Ryan joined the Marines, and Lucas got to help him pull off a surprise homecoming, sneaking back for Christmas without telling his parents or sister he was coming. It remains one of the more dramatic things either of them has ever pulled off.

Dr. K'yal Bannister

Bridesmaid

K’yal and Chelsea met freshman year at Spelman through Mya, K’yal’s roommate. Whether it was frequent sleepovers on campus or Chelsea crashing K’yal's legendary, high-energy study sessions in the science center, they’ve always shared a love for good music and great ambition. Since then, their friendship has spanned every corner of the country, following them through life in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Boston, and Seattle.

Ben Nemacheck

Groomsman

Ben and Lucas have known each other since high school, but it wasn't until college, when they lived together for multiple years, that the friendship really solidified. Ben is the guy who shows up, having helped Lucas drive and move all the way to Atlanta. He also once drove with Lucas on zero sleep to a bug infested patch of woods in Augusta just to pick up some furniture, which is either true friendship or a mild lapse in judgment.

Bre Gibbs

Bridesmaid

Bre and Chelsea’s friendship began in 2013 as freshmen sharing a hall in the Howard-Harreld dorm at Spelman College. Over the last 13 years, their bond has only grown stronger through countless memories and plenty of girls' trips. An avid world traveler, Bre has explored more countries than she can count, always ready for her next big adventure!

Lely Le

Bridesmaid

Lely and Chelsea have been dear friends for over six years, though their story started long before that. Despite growing up in the same city and running in the same circles, it took a twist of fate to finally bring them together in adulthood. They’ve been inseparable ever since!

Kenny Zacher

Groomsman

Kenny has been close with Benji since they were kids, back when he used to bring Benji along to hang out at his place. He and Lucas ended up living together during Covid, filling the time with stock talk, Smash Bros, and enough quoting of I Think You Should Leave to make it a genuine personality trait. Kenny was also the first one to know about Lucas and Chelsea’s budding relationship when Lucas spent half of their road trip to Seattle on the phone with her, and the first of Lucas’s friends to meet Chelsea.
