Lucas and Chelsea met in the spring of 2022 at their best friends’ wedding—appropriately surrounded by love, laughter, and a little matchmaking energy. While the bride and groom had plans for pairing up other couples that weekend, fate had other ideas. After six months of dating, the couple was faced with a choice. When Lucas received a new job opportunity in Seattle, they knew a long-distance relationship wasn’t for them. With a leap of faith (and 6 fully packed suitcases), Chelsea moved from Atlanta to Seattle to start their life together. That decision marked the beginning of a season filled with growth, adventure, and the certainty that they had found their person. In the fall of 2024, Lucas thoughtfully asked Chelsea's father Stanley for his blessing and soon after proposed in the most intimate and meaningful way—at Chelsea's sister Kelsey’s home in Woodstock, Georgia, between just them.
