Hike a High Peak
Tackle one (or more!) of the Adirondack 46 High Peaks. Cascade and Porter are good ones to start with. If you are looking for a shorter hike, you can try one of the Saranac 6 Peaks or Lake Placid 9 Peaks!
Fly Fishing
The Adirondacks are world famous for their fly fishing, counting bass, trout, walleyes, perch, salmon and northern pike among the most plentiful fish. There are plenty of outdoor stores that offer guided excursions on the West Branch of the Ausable River, close to Lake Placid.
