A short drive and a short hike to this overlook of Lambertville, New Hope, the Delaware River and beyond!
A beautiful nature preserve just a short drive away!
Climb to the top of the tower to overlook the area! A fun, quick adventure, but be aware that it is not always open - so be sure to check before going!
See a show at this well-known theatre located in the heart of New Hope!
One of our favorite bars! It has a turn-of-the-century boat house theme, with vintage boating posters and paintings decorating the bar from floor to ceiling. Cell phones are forbidden, to maintain the vintage feel. This bar is small and it has limited hours, so check that they're open before going and get there early to claim a seat on one of their cozy antique couches.
Another one of our favorite bars! Located in New Hope, this bar is cozy and unique, with vintage decor and a big blazing fireplace. The food is great, but the drinks are to die for. Chelsea's favorite is a drink called Esther's Footsteps, named after a ghost named Esther who can apparently be heard walking around on the second floor.
Take a stroll on the historic Tow Path! It is called the "Tow Path" because donkeys used to "tow" goods down the canal by walking on the path while being connected to the cargo boats (or something like that - I am not a historian). This path is one of the reasons why we chose to live here - we love it so much! There are paths on the PA and the NJ sides - so take your pick!
One of our favorite places to eat in Lambertville! This long-running Italian restaurant has been a staple in Lambertville since 1938. In the more residential part of town, it is a little less touristy than other restaurants in town, and their food is delicious!
We love this bar and restaurant! It has an eclectic, vintage feel (can you tell we like vintage things?), good drinks, and good food. It is also in a more residential part of town, so it is a little less touristy than some other restaurant options.
This outdoor gear store has rental options, including bikes, kayaks, canoes, river tubes, and e-bikes! We have rented cross country skis here and had a great experience. I should note that I am not sure if they also rent out car racks as well, so be sure to call ahead and ask if you don't already have a way to transfer your rental to and from the store (ex., a car rack, a truck, etc.).
This antiques flea market is always an enjoyable experience! Lot of unique finds at their outdoor tables and inside the building that houses the more permanent sellers. There is also a small cafe there in case you want a coffee or a bite to eat (full disclosure: we have not tried the food there yet). It is open on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 8am-4pm and it is just a short drive outside of town.
Come get a cup of joe from our favorite coffee spot hangout!
Panoply Books offers unusual, offbeat, rare and out-of-print quality used books. We always enjoy perusing through the plethora of antique books at this bookstore!
Enjoy a pint from this local brewery with outdoor seating overlooking Aquetong Creek.
