Alex and I met in September of 2018. He was in Alaska at the time and thought his dating app was showing him some local Alaskan ladies. Whoops. He matched with me in Seattle instead.
We met a few days after his trip ended, and funnily enough, I was leaving for my own Alaska adventure the following week. We hit it off immediately, and that first date lasted hours. Soon enough, I was watching Eagles games with Alex’s friends, and Alex was joining scary movie nights with mine.
On our third date, we went to a Halloween dance party, and Alex spent the whole night spinning me across the dance floor like a whirling dervish while I cried laughing the entire time. We were completely oblivious to everyone else in the room. The rest was history.
We got engaged in July of 2022 and married that December in our spontaneous Costa Rica shotgun wedding. It was absolutely perfect and completely us, but we always knew we wanted to celebrate one more time with all our favorite people there too.
