Stratton Mountain Resort - Gondola Ride
Explore the Stratton Mountain ski village and take a ride on the gondola to the top of the mountain. There are beautiful scenic views of fall foliage! Afterwards, walk through the village full of lots of shops and places to grab a bite to eat or a beverage. This is where the bride learned to ski when she was 5 years old!
Gaines Farm
Gaines Farm is a classic VT fall fun time - it has a lot to offer including a corn maze, haunted corn maze, haunted hay ride, delicious fall treats, and much more. Fun for the whole family!
Beer Naked Brewery
One of Chelby and Kyle's (and Chelby's brothers') favorite spots! Sip on a cold beer, enjoy a slice of fresh wood-fired pizza and soak in the mountain view! (FYI: They are cash only but have an ATM).
Grafton, VT Hiking Trails
Grafton, VT is a quaint little town with a few different things to offer - there are some great outdoor hiking/biking spots, along with Grafton Village Cheese. Chelby highly recommends their VT Cheddar Cheese - the longer aged, the better!
Hike Putney Mountain
Chelby's childhood home sits at the base of Putney Mountain and was a big part of her childhood. She and her brothers spent countless hours hiking, sledding, hunting, snowmobiling, and tapping trees for maple syrup making within its beautiful hills. Visit its website for trail options - Putney Mountain Hawk Watch is a quick 20 minute hike with beautiful views. The Pinnacle trail is a longer, more strenuous hike - but totally worth it!
Brattleboro Country Club
Play a round of golf and enjoy a meal afterwards at the Brattleboro Country Club! Kyle and Chelby's brothers/family members play in Chelby's/their high school alumni golf tournament here every September.
Scott Farm Orchard
Visit the orchard and farm from 'Cider House Rules' and do some apple picking of your own! They also have a seasonal farm market to explore as well.
Putney Mountain Winery and Spirits
Visit Putney Mountain Winery and Spirits in Putney, VT and enjoy a glass of wine, or two! (Note: there are two winery locations - the Putney location is the one closest to the wedding site).
