The suggested dress code is formal. The groomsmen will be in black tuxedos. Note: The weather in Vermont can be unpredictable in the fall and while there will be outdoor heaters, it could be a bit chilly so layers are suggested! The reception and cocktail hour will be outside/in a warmed tent so please also be mindful of footwear.
Southern Vermont isn't overflowing with places to eat so thought we'd provide a few recommendations! Delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches, iced coffee, pastries and cold beer can be found at the Newfane Store (596 VT Route 30, Newfane) and the Harmonyville Store (1412 VT Route 30, Townshend). The Fat Crow in Newfane is a great dinner spot but reservations are needed in advance if you want to ensure there will be a table (they fill up quick!). The Four Column's '1832 Tavern' and The Newfane Inn are both great spots in the center of Newfane to grab a bite or a drink, too! Brattleboro, VT (about a 20 min drive from Newfane) has a lot more options - The Whetstone Brewery, The Marina, Panda North, Village Pizza, Kipling's Tavern, Snow Republic Brewery (Brattleboro location) and Peter Haven's are some of the bride and groom's favorite spots! For a more scenic and classic Vermont experience, you can head over to the Dover and Wilmington, VT area, which is where Mount Snow Ski Resort is - there's great views and good eats! We recommend Beer Naked (Marlborough), Valley View Saloon, The Last Chair Bar & Grill, and Snow Republic Brewery (Dover location). This area is about a 25 minute drive from Newfane through the mountains but definitely worth the trip! Stratton Mountain Resort also houses many delicious restaurants, shops, a golf course, and views! It's about a 30 minute drive from Newfane and also worth the venture!
Unfortunately, we ask that you follow what your invitation states as we have regulations to follow as to how many guests we can invite. If you have a special request or question, please contact the bride and groom. We appreciate your understanding!
We add this question here as an advisory - cell phone service in Vermont can be spotty/non-existent so please be mindful! If you have AT&T, you shouldn't have any troubles in the area where the wedding is. However, it's pretty much a dead zone for Verizon so if you need to utilize Maps, we recommend you utilize WiFi before you begin your journey to get your destination in place as you might not have service. Please reach out if you have any concerns!
